For Gamecube, since they were all out of it for XBox. Must be good if they're sold out in June. Couple of questions....
How long will it take to get the hang of it? I was an All Star Baseball guy until now, so I am going in with almost no experience playing MVP.
If I'm playing with the Cube version, will I have to do rosters myself? I heard the ones that came with the game sucked.

I did the Rosters by myself and I have a PS2. I used the MVP Board at IGN and FanFare Caps and Baseball Americas Opening Day Rosters. Now my rosters are accurate. It took me about 3 days for 2 hours.

One piece I have learned is to take pitches. It may seem simple, but if you just swing away, you are going to have trouble creating much offense. As in real life, when the pitcher gets behind, he will rely on fastballs in the middle of the plate which your batters should feast on.
When I first got the game, I swung at everything, and as a result had practically no homeruns and no one batting above .300. Now, I get around 1 HR a game and have a team average of around .270 (not great, but realistic).
