This has happened to me numerous times. First time through the order, my pitcher allows zip. Perfect. My offense, has numerous hits, but cannot put anything together. Then, the opposing offense "learns" my pitching and kills me the second time through. Now I'm down 5-0ish and cannot come back. My relief holds it, but I end up losing liek 5-2. Argh, its too much thinking.

You have to take advantage of the different features the game allows you. The most useful one is the previous at bat screen. If you pull that up, it will tell you exactly where you threw each pitch, what pitch it was, and what the result was. Reviewing this can help you to vary your pitching. If you throw a high fastball and a player takes it out of the park, chances are if you throw the same fastball to the same spot, the same player will take it out of the park again. Work the corners not only because you will get more strikes, but because you can really confuse batters that way. Throw pitches of similar speeds, one that breaks and one that doesn't or that breaks in a different direction. That way you can throw each pitch in the same spot and since the pitches come at the same speed and at the same spot, the computer won't be able to guess the pitch until it breaks. This means they will guess wrong a lot and you can end up with some pretty big wiffs or some bats not being taken off of the shoulder.

yeah, you gotta change up your style. You can't throw the same 2 pitches over and over or else you'll get bombed.

I usually play on rookie anyway so I don't have to worry about my pitching. I throw like 60 pitches a game :-)

I think abybody could go 162-0 on rookie but I don't care about realism in my baseball dynasty I just like seeing Jim Thome hitting 70 homeruns by the break. :-)

I had to read that post five times before I figured out what you attempted to say. That being said, playing unrealistically is not "retarded." Just because you would rather play so that the statistics are accurate does not mean that you are right. [kidding]The only person who is right 100% of the time is me.[/kidding] I'd be willing to bet that up wards of 75% of sports video gamers would rather hit 70 home runs in a year and go 162-0 on rookie mode than play a pitchers duel and flirt with .500 on the most difficult level of game play.

Nafsder the main reason ASM said that is to try and look less like a noob, but he failed. ASM- Don't worry about other people. Just because you enjoy something or think something is good, doesn't mean everyone else does too. Look at your dynasty for instance. You seem to think it's all that...

Ahem! Plus I stink at baseball anyway, basketball is the one that I like to play at the hardest difficulty.
