At Wrigley, do they throw the visiting teams home run balls back?
-Nope
Do the leaves change colors at Wrigley during the season too?
-Not sure, but I don't think so.
Do the Cubs and Dodgers have their new jerseys? The ones without the names on the back?
-I know that the Cubs still have the names on the back, but I'm not sure about the Dodgers. I think it's because they didn't really announce that they'd be changing jerseys, they just did it at the beginning of the season after MVP was released, which screwed things up a tad.
At the All-Star game, do they wear, their team stuff, or do they all wear the same jerseys?
-League jerseys...not even their team hats. And the jerseys are the same for all the All-Star games. It's a little annoying to be in 2010 and still be wearing the Detroit All-Star game unis.
What's a good roster-update site, that I can do manually without going PS2 online?
- Not sure, but I assume ps2rosters would be a good place.
And list any neat new features, that are minor in-play, but pretty neat.
- Mini games for spring training to help increase player ratings even more, you can actually see each players career potential if you go to "edit player" (you can edit it, too), custom home run celebrations/swings for the big home-run hitters (Sosa, Griffey, Manny, Pujols, etc.), Owner Mode (not for the weak of heart), Baseball America's Top 100 Prospects actually in the game (fake names, but you can easily find who is who on GameFAQs or through a roster update), and Single-A minor league affiliates for every team.
I think it's definitely the best baseball game out there, but Owner Mode could use a little tweaking. It's unfortunate that the exclusive MLB license will be going to an inferior company, since MVP has made great strides from last year's version to this year's. Most of the player faces are accurate, and there are tons (and I mean TONS) of retro jerseys, including the 2004 Montreal Expos jerseys for the Nats. The mini games are fun (and not to mention an easy way to accumulate MVP points), and they also help you get used to the controls if you're not familiar. The computer actually steals now, making games more competitive. In dynasty and owner mode there is even a section that keeps track of career stats for every player on every team, and when a player breaks a record or reaches a career milestone, the announcers usually mention it (when I broke the RBI record with Pujols, one of the guys said "Wow! He just broke Hack Wilson's record of 190 RBI in a single season..I never thought I'd see that happen!" or something like that). The only thing missing is an actual record book like NCAA Football or Madden that you can reference to, but it's not a big deal.
