WRONG! Alexander Cartwright invented baseball, even though Doubleday was a West Point grad. The baseball field is named after Doubleday, but he did not invent baseball.

Oops, we are all kinda right except the Doubleday thing. His name was Alexander JOY Cartwright. It just calls him Joy throughout the book. So Alexander, and Joy are the same person. My fault, I just found a picture in the back where his name was Alexand Joy Cartwright(inventor of baseball)

Also, did you know that the good old George Washington used to play a little baseball back in the day. Him and his troops used to play during the Revolutionary War, at Valley Forge.
As for Abner Doubleday, he was known as the father of baseball. Because he was like the Johny Appleseed of baseball, he went from town to town spreading the news of the new game.

Well History, is my strongest subject, it's the only one that keeps me interested. Math, I fall asleep everyday, thats why im just now starting Alebra my Junior year. As for English, I love to write, just not about the stupid crap they want you to write, why is sports such a bad topic to teachers.
