Caught him in Round Rock a few days ago after being moved to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox just in time for the RR series back to the UT/Austin area and he was called up to the big boys the day following the end of the RR series. Very cool to see a buddy of mine through school and the chicas cousin being a teammate with Omar on the 02 championship team at UT. Just thought it was neat... been watching the chicas cousin trek through the minors for 3 years now and all of a sudden, Omar shoots right through, joining teammate Houston Street in the majors.
