You forgot the Nationals, now Bibby will go crazy. But I agree the Astros will get just enough run support to help that amazing pitching and win the wild card.

I've got to go with the Marlins. In '97 and '03, which are the only years they've been in contention this late, they've come through and made the playoffs. They've got the talent to do it with Willis, Burnett, Cabrera. Let's not forget about Josh Beckett down there too. Carlos Delgado is also having a pretty good year.

Im going with Francour to be the next beast...Howard for Philladelphia is the next Bonds IMO Howard needs to start hitting better against lefties before he can be considered the next Bonds. He's batting around .130 with no homeruns. he strikes out a lot in clutch situations too. Plus we have to get rid of Thome and pick up some pitching.

You're actually comparing Barry Bonds, who is most likely going to break the all time homerun record in 2 to 3 years (maybe even 1 if he has anything good) to a rookie?

Sorry ASM. It ain't happening. He simply cannot hit lefty pitching. You have to be versatile to be able to jack 50 and he sure ain't. He might hit 35-40, but he'll peak there.
