The Yankees clinched the AL East. Today with their win over the Red Sox combined with the Indians lost against the White Sox they are guaranteed the AL East championship. Now tomorrow I hope they play for the win because if they win again and if the Indians win there will be a 1 game playoff between the Red Sox and Indians to determine the wild card. Hopefully the Red Sox lose because honestly I would much rather face the Indians than the Red Sox in the playoffs.

Yeah maybe they are overpaid but that isnt what got them to the playoffs this year. Of course some of the overpaid players helped a lot, but we wouldn't be where we are if it wasn't for Small, Chacone, Wang, and Cano who all have very small contracts.

Why would you not want the Red Sox to get the WC? I know I do, so we can get are sweet sweet revenge against them in the ALCS...

Yeah but I wouldn't want to take the chance. The Red Sox are a good team, and we would have better odds against the Indians. I could care less about beating the Red Sox. If we win the WS we will be getting revenge on them anyway. Especially if they don't make the playoffs after winning the WS the year before.

good, at this time of the year I just root against the most obnoxious fans, so I hope the red sox dont even make the playoffs I agree... I'm rooting for the Angels too, just to make all these Yankee and Red Sox fans shutup until next April... |

It'd mean a lot more to a real diehard Yankee fan like myself if I knew we're the reason they didn't make the playoffs at all after winning the World Championship...plus the fact that the Indians are a little easier to overcome than the line-up of the BoSox. |
