How are the Angels a longshot? Cause they play the freakin Yankees.
And funny you mention how every Card player sucks, except the one that will win it for them. Ever heard of him....Albert Pujols...ya...he will hit a few bombs drive in some runs and the Cards will win.
And bout your boy Peavy, might wanna check SC tonights...Carpenter won not Jake.

Angels isn't a longshot...you're underestimating them big time and I'll admit that. As for the Padres and how the Cards suck...let's be a little realistic. They own the National League...but you're right the pitching will fault but not until they play the Astros and that amazing staff.

ok the Padre's can now be considered long shots after going down a quick 0-1 to to Cards...actually they were always a long shot, remember guys the padres just barely finished OVER .500 the Cards finished way over that.
Angels are ESPN's most common pick to win it all.

I have theory (really out there) we don't want to screw with the whole Anaheim/Los Angeles thing? (just a theory)

The NL is more classy than the AL.

I really have nothing to add but that Jake Peavy is a product of St. Paul's High School in Mobile, AL.

How are the Angels a longshot? Cause they play the freakin Yankees. Why do you still picture them as untouchable?

About the Angels... sure they lost game one, but these aren't the Yankees of old. The Angels HAD THE SAME RECORD as the Yankees, in a division as tight, if not tighter, than the AL East. Don't count them out. As for the Padres, since when was Peavy my boy? To be honest i despise him, but I have to give him my respect. Honestly, though, YOU NEED TO WATCH SC. Peavy broke his damn arm. Did I honestly expect that to happen and have them still win? Never did I say every Cards player sucks. I said they have some 2 STRIKEOUT PRONE PLAYERS, and nothing more about the lineup besides that. I sincerely apologise to you that you possibly think by saying that 1/4 of the Cardinals lineup is prone to strikeout, which is what my Mets would die for. Do you not think when you post? Do you just try and whip up a post so fast so you can move onto another topic and post another senseless post, and do that continuously until you get tired? It sure seems like that the way your posting in this topic...

No way was the AL West tighter than the AL East. For about two weeks in August and September it was a close race with Oakland, other than that, it was all Angels.

AL east is stacked compared to the West...all the West really has is pitching besides Vlad and a few other decent hitters

Please do not talk to me, you just called the AL West as tight as the AL East...please. Because the West was decided about a week before the East was? All 4 teams were at one point of the season in 1st in the division. Texas didn't fall off until August, and LA went from 3rd to 1st from the ASG on. Oakland also emerged from the dead and almost pulled an Atlanta Braves and won with so many young players. Sure, Yanks-Sox are better teams than Oakland-LA, but it ended just about as tight. Everyone knew it would come down to Yanks-Sox, while it was a toss up between anyone in the West (besides maybe the Mariners). Well the West has better pitchers than the East, and good pitching will be beat good hitting a large percentage of the time. But since when does that have to deal with how tight a division was. The NL and AL WC were tight, regardless of how good the teams were (obviously they were all good, but let's just say). Why does skill level determine if a division was tight. All that matters is how close it is at the end, not that a division had better teams than another...

With Peavy hurt or not the Cards were sweeping. They slaughtered Peavy in game 1, didn't see that?
