If you remember, in 2002, Francisco Rodriguez and John Lackey burst onto the scene for the Angels, as K-Rod emerged as a shut-down reliever and Lackey won game seven of the World Series against the Giants. My question to you - is Angels rookie pitcher Ervin Santana this year's version - bursting onto the scene in the playoffs?
Hey, he shut down the Yanks in a clinching game. We'll see if he can save Anaheim from a 3-1 defeat tonight.
Just want to see your thoughts.

He showed some brillance this season, but was very inconsistent. He was good against the Yankees with little time, but got rocked by the ChiSox. He started 23 games this year so he had more experience than K-Rod, not sure about Lackey though. He is supposed to develop, but then again, so are a lot of players.
