what a game, it started at 1am in the uk and didnt end till 7am. as always i stayed up from nolans opening pitch to ensberg pop out.
i must say the Sox have got it for the takin, houston is lost offensivly and due to the fact they had to go so deep into their lineup in game 3, they will need at least 7 innings from Backe in game 4, while the Sox who send Freddy Garcia to the hill have a huge advantage as Garcia ia a pitcher who could pitch 12 innings and still be going strong.
After watching Houston not capitalize on all their opportunities in the later stages of Game 4, it really just a question ofif the likes of Taveras and Everett who are young ballplayers can shrug off the let down and try and give themsellves an opportunity to at least force a game 5.

Anyone else think this has been on of the best 3-0 series you've ever seen?
Hopefully the Stros will pull a BoSox and win out. I mean, sure they won't but it would be cool if they did.

i agree, when you have a guy on 2nd base with no out, you gotta bring him in... geez
and i think they should re-think the playoff system. 8 teams is not enough... two straight 4-0 WS , i dont like that either, i would like to see a tight WS like the Astros vs Braves series, that would be sick

I am sad to say that other than a few spare innings of each game, I did not watch this intently. I really don't give a damn about baseball other than the Phillies; that's how selfish I am.
Anyway, if the Angels didn't sneak that win in there in ALCS, the Sox would have swept the playoffs. Reminiscent of Robino's Stros dynasty. The initial look at the boxscores may look like it was a boring series, but I would argue. I mean, a walk off homer, 14 inning game, and a 1-0 battle. What more could you wish for?
That's just my take from a guy who watched 6 innings all series.

I've got a question: Has anybody gone through the postseason undefeated? I mean, I know the Red Sox lost three games last year before winning eight straight, but doesn' the White Sox 11-1 postseason merit anything?

Oh and I called how crappy the LCS and WS and they were. Just not up to par as what is expected out of those two series'.

To answer your question, no nobody has, at least since the Division Series came about 10 years ago or so...
