Yadier Molina just flew out the end the NLCS...the World Series will feature the Chicago White Sox against the Houston Astros. I think this could end up being a very good series with tons of interesting storylines (despite what ESPN or other East-slanted media outlets may say)
The Astros are playing in their first ever World Series, the White Sox are playing in their first WS since 1959 and going for their first win since 1917, trying to get rid of the Black Sox Curse, Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell finally getting to the World Series after more than a decade in Houston, great pitching on both sides...this series could go 7, IMO.
Here's to having a great World Series...congrats to the ChiSox and Astros.

Well, I like the White Sox season they put together, however even though the Astros beat my Braves, I have to roll with the National League Sorry White Sox

No, This looks like a lot of 4-2 wins coming up, maybe even a 1-0 and a 2-1. I am still amazed thought that ESPN give the ChiSox starting pitching the nod over Houston's. I think that the Astro's should actually get threw this series pretty well. The Astro lineup is 1 man short from being a solid lineup, and in an AL ballpark, that means Jeff Bagwell will get to start in the middle of that order. On the flip side, I think Chicago will be badly hurt when they lose thier extra hitter, and have to play some National League ball.

I want the Astros simply because I don't want to see Craig Biggio go without a World Series after all those times he got hit by a pitch. If you get hit that many times, you deserve it.
But you can't argue against the White Sox any more. From the start, all ESPN did was build up the Red Sox, and they got taken out. Then the Angels came, and I, along with a lot of ESPN guys, thought the Angels could still outlast the Sox, but they prevailed again. I still think the Stros pitching is better, but definitely against an offense which is basically a slightly lesser skilled Angels team, I can see where ESPN is coming from, but remember, these guys stomped St. Louis's pitching, and Oswalt manhandled the Cards offense.
It could go either way. Surprisingly (well, I thought it was until basically eveyrone else said it too) I feel this is going to be an exciting series as well. It doesn't look like any 12-3 games, or even 12-10 for that matter. This is baseball at its finest.

Well, I the only teams I liked in this year's playoff were Anaheim, San Diego, and Houston, so I'm cheering for the Astros.
Unfortunately, I think Chicago is just too powerful.

I think Chicago is going to win this one in five games, maybe six tops.

Astros in 7.
By my estimates it'll be one of the better World Series' we've seen in quite some time.

2001 and 2002 had good WS. The last two have been quite boring becaue the LCS' both years were better.

I think this series will end up a lot like the Angels-Giants WS did a few years ago...no one really thought it was going to be anything special, but it ended up going 7 games and being one of the best WS in memory.
I don't think that losing the DH in Houston will be a big deal for Chicago, since they weren't getting great production out of the DH spot anyway if Konerko was playing first (Carl Everett is batting like .250 this season or something like that. Like it's been stated, I think the Astros will benefit having the DH since Bagwell has a chance to play in those games if he's feeling good enough to get 4 at-bats a game. I doubt he has the power to hit a ball out for a HR, but he may be still good for a double to the gap to drive in a run or two.

Bagwell hit a couple out in his rehab stint at Corpus Christi and I saw him go yard some in batting practice at a few games in houston..... he still throws like a 7 year old girl, but he somehow can still hit..... essentially hits one handed
