...is Matt Lawton.
The second higher-profile name to take the fall.
It just broke so I don't have a link, but it's on ESPNEWS.
Thoughts?

ClickyIt doesn't say who he tested positive with, but I'll laugh if it was when he was a Cub.

I saw his name flash up on the screen at a resteraunt. Didn't know what was up (asumed there were "breaking" trade rumors). He's definately not the kind of player you would expect to take steroids. Before reading the story, I asumed it would have been something taken to recover from his shoulder and finger injuries, but I doubt anybody would take horse steroids to help those.

To impress scouts... idk, that's all I got But why don't these stupid asses realize "Hey, all these guys are getting caught... maybe I won't!!!" That's why I hate baseball so much. They make us suffer through 9 innings as it is, don't go screw your team by cheating... they're all dumbasses...

Just because it is announced know doesn't mean it didn't become knowledge before now. Just like Palmiero.

As long as there are sports, athletes will continue to do stupid things.

A lot of the people who have been suspended so far have been so for things that came up in their tests that were years old. The guy named Morse from Seattle said his positive test was from 2-3 years ago when he was still in the minors and trying to recover from a career-threatening injury. My guess is that Lawton's positive test came sometime towards the end of the season and it hasn't gotten out until now, since if there is a positive test the results have to be reviewed by committees, appeals are made on behalf of the player, and there's a ton of legal red tape to cut through before it even hits the media.
