Puzzling deal for the sox. Manny to the Angels for Vladdy Daddy is the most logical choice for the Sox. That'd be terrible for Anaheim. Vlad is faster, stronger, a better fielder, stronger arm, better baserunner. |

Did you guys see when Vlad threw from the third base line straight across Yankee Stadium, over the outfield wall? |

Vlad's the reason why I want to see a Skills Competition at the MLB All-Star game...for outfielders there could be a competition where they throw balls from the outfield to a garbage can on it's side at home plate and see how many they can get into the bin in 3 minutes or something. Have a pitching competition to see who can hit 5 parts of the strike zone in the shortest amount of time (4 corners and the middle)...those kinds of competitons would be just as fun (if not more fun) to watch than the HR Derby.

Sort of like the NHL Skills competition (still one of my favorite sporting events)

And in regards to the Vlad/Manny thing, I heard it on baseball tonight awhile back. They considered Manny an offensive upgrade, but I don't think its one that's so dramatic that it would vault them into another category.
