I didn't know that players had to give money to charit, but A-Rod gives a lot. I;m not saying it's hard for him with as large a salary as he has, but it's still nice to do. From what I see it looks like he talks to his teammates all the time. Every yankee game I have went to in the past 2 years he has always been joking around, and talkingwith his team so I don't know where you got that from. As for off the field I have also been around him a few times, and he is a gentleman to all of the fans that mob him. I have never seen him swat a camera or shrug off a fan. To me he is always going to be a gentleman, not perfect, but a gentleman, and no matter what you guys make up to try to down him it won't change.

Because your biased. Any Yankee, to you, can do no wrong. I mean, you took Jeff Nelson's side when he attacked a fan.

No I didn't take Nelson's side. I know that what he did was wrong and he shouldn't have done it. All I said was that I think there was more to it han just the guy waving a towel and Nelson attacking him.
Obviously I am somewhat biased, but I think everyone is biased about their team to some point.

Actually, a lot of people don't think their teams are as good as some fans.

In case you haven't noticed, a majority of athletes deal with fans just fine. And where i'm "getting it from" is the fact that I've worked for the Indians for 3 years and happened to work while he was in texas and new york and he doesn't talk to his teammates much. He sits on the couch or at his locker until he has to get ready. He isn't nice to really anyone who's not doing something for him. He handles fans? Great. He has to do it otherwise he'll give himself a black eye in the media. I said he was an ***, not dumb.

Well if he doesn't talk before a game, I don't really know if you can hold that against him. I know soem athletes who do the same. I know before my hockey games, I barely talk. I will greet my teammates but after that I am trying to focus on everything. I just do it to try and put myself in the zone I guess. After the game, it can be different. After a win, you are usually talking to all of your teammates. If he is not talking than, I can see what you mean. If it's after a loss, especially if you did something wrong in the game, you may not want to talk about it right away. Also, I think a lot more major leaguers are on juice than the fans think.

No I didn't take Nelson's side. Then what was with all the "there must have been a reason why" crap? If you weren't taking his side, then you should have just seceded that part of an argument instead of looking like a dumb*** that continues to gradually give in more and more as more people go against what you say...

This will be my last post in this thread and i'll make it very clear: A-Rod isn't a nice guy. He's very professional, but he's a conceded, prima-donna who doesn't care about anybody but himself. I have a lot of personal experience in this area. The man is brat.
