The Brewers will surprise a few people this year...look for them to actually finish above .500 this season after finally getting to the .500 mark last season. Prince Fielder for ROY. I could see the Brewers finishing third in the division again, but they could end up as high as second if Houston has a drop off and the Cubs struggle with their bullpen again. My Predictions right now: AL East Yankme$ Blue Jays Red Sox Devil Rays Orioles AL Central White Sox Indians Twins Tigers Royals AL West Angels A's Mariners Rangers NL East Braves Mets Phillies Nationals Marlins NL Central Cards Scrubs (tie) Brewers (tie) Astros Pirates Reds NL West Padres SF Geezers Diamondbacks Dodgers Rockies

Blue Jays 18th? Bah! You've been greatly misinformed my American friend...just watch them this year, and you will see the error in your ways.

They have good pitching and some good young talent. That's just my opinion however.

I'm not surprised you all are picking my Royals dead last, but I would bet that they might surprise some people this year. No, they won't finish higher than fifth in the AL Central. But I do think that they should improve 10-15 wins over last season.
I wouldn't call Doug Mientkiewicz, Scott Elarton, Mark Grudzielanek, and Paul Bako "superstar talent" by any means, but it's a start. Combined with some of the younger talent, I don't see how they can't eke out 72-75 wins this year.

The Blue Jays will be a top 12 team in the MLB, mark my words, with the talent these picked up they may squeeze into #3 in the AL....

i love my astros, but i think everyone is overestimating them (outside of jami)..... I'd love to see them have a great year again, but I see them right around .500, maybe a little over

Believe me, the 15-30 turnaround last season won't happen to the Astros again. They'll make the playoffs this year, but I don't see a series in their future. Not for a little while, anyway.

How are the Phils getting so much love. Yeah they almost made the playoffs last year, but they traded away one of their better starters who pitched great in the final half of the season in Padilla for nothing, lost the best closer in the NL, and have only gotten a CF for Thome, when they could have signed a good FA CF anyways and gotten some pitching...

Agreed, we should be farther down the list. I'd give us fourth in the NL East.

Believe me, the 15-30 turnaround last season won't happen to the Astros again. They'll make the playoffs this year, but I don't see a series in their future. Not for a little while, anyway. The problem with the Astros is that they don't know if Clemens is coming back, Andy Pettitte isn't getting younger, the rest of the pitching staff is a little shaky, and not only are they not getting any bats to add to their lineup, but they're also turning bats away - they want Bagwell to retire. It just seems to me like Houston doesn't seem to want to spend money, and I wouldn't be surprised if they struggled all year long and finished around .500.
