Is this supposed to be any good? I always thought their graphics looked worse than MVP's (too choppy, players don't really look like their real-life counterparts, etc.), but I guess they have a lot more fielding and pitching features and this year you'll have the ability to move your catcher to decrease chances of wild pitches.
Anyone thinking of giving this game a shot? Is it going to be of the $20-$30 variety?

I have it preordered for 360...so hopefully the graphics on that won't be a problem. It's the only MLB game coming out this year. Price on current-gen platforms is $40.

I knew it was the only MLB game coming out this year because Take Two stole the exclusive rights. :-\
Apparently they'll have the WBC teams included in the game, too, and a lot of the franchise mode will be built around the ability to scout players and teams. Before each game you'll get around 300 points to spend on scouting, which you can use on any player - each player has a set value. Pitchers will always be around 100 points, while middle relievers would be like 20. You can also buy entire team reports for a series, but the prices on those change depending on which team you're scouting - the A's will cost you $800,000 while the Yankees will cost you over $1 million.
For those of you who have been playing the 2K Sports baseball games before, is there a minor league system in the franchise mode, or are you basically stuck managing only your MLB team? I can't seem to find much about any kind of minor league system in the 2K Sports games.

There is a minor league system in the game. It's not as deep as MVP's was, but you can assign players to AAA and AA (and maybe even A, cant remember) and follow their stats there. You also get scouting reports from your minor lague staff about their ETA to reach the majors as well as their projected role on an MLB team.

There haven't been any screens or vids for the 360 yet. The ones you probably saw were regular Xbox screens. At least, that's what I was told.

one of the magazines had some shots..... couldn't tell you which - guys at gamecrazy showed it to me when i asked about mlb and they were definitely 360 shots, not as grainy as the current gen but still not as good as I hope - maybe they'll have a lot of improvement
