In what seems to be pretty airtight evidence, two San Fran Chronicle reporters have written a book proving that Barry Bonds has taken steroids since 1998 and used them for at least 5 years. The book and the story will be featured on this week's Sports Illustrated. Linkage

If I may add something that's semi-unrelated, this was a freaking amazing reporting job. Think ESPN is kicking themselves that they were too busy making a reality show about Bonds to dig through paperwork for a couple years to break the story?

Oh, I've noticed. I'm a Milwaukee Brewers fan...I've known they've been a joke for quite awhile. As far is Seps saying "Lies!", here's a list of the sources they used for the book: Hard to ignore that.

I don't even use their website anymore because you have to pay for anything more than the obvious. All their scoops, rumors, or solid analysis is gone.

Is anyone really surprised about Barry? It is sickening. They know children idolize them. Maybe they need someone there to tell them that when they are shooting up.

Not to mention you have to sign up for Insider just to get access to any columnist's columns that are more than 6 weeks old. I wouldn't mind signing up for Insider to get Buster Olney's or Peter Gammons's blogs, but it's not worth the price they're charging.
I go to Sportsline more because their page actually loads quickly on my computer...I don't have to sit and wait for 20,000 small graphics to load like I do for ESPN's page.

I usually go to SI, but I am really starting to think about whether or not stars have true power. Adam Dunn is a given, since he is a BEAST, but what about others?

Right now, nobody's a "given." If Alex Sanchez is on roids, anyone can be.
