I know this is gonna seem a little obvious, but someone in my league offered me this deal, and I'm just making sure there's no trick behind this...
I get:
Manny, Johan Santana, Chris Carpenter, and Francisco Rodriguez
He gets:
Vernon Wells, Sabathia, Gagne, and Mulder
It seemed to good to be true, so is there any reason at all to not accept this deal...

Accept it, it's probably some guy who heard some ESPN anylast say that Vernon Wells is going to be MVP, which I couldn't see happening ever. Also, Manny, Santana, and Carpenter should have good years.

it's probably some guy who heard some ESPN anylast say that Vernon Wells is going to be MVP Yeah, that was on the espn homepage yesterday i believe, where it said 'Vernon Wells will win an MVP before he retires'. It didnt say this year, so that guy is a moron. |

No one said Wellsy would win this year...just sometime his career. He's not even 30! Now with Glaus to protect him, he can hit for a higher average, and he really seems ready to start the season.
Regardless, however, accept the trade.
