So, i started a drays site, but my self updated rosters were terrible and it made the game bad. I made some money off my friends(college basketball betting) and have enough to get a new game. I know I could get updated rosters, but it's too much of a hassle to send them my memory card and other crap.
So, which game should I get? 06 The Show or 2K6? Or, if you think I should get roster updates because the games aren't good, tell me.

Go get an Xbox 360 and MLB 2K6, it's gonna be awesome I haven't played either, but on current-gen, The Show is supposedly the better game.

ya, from just looking at reviews i was leaning towards the show. If I could just "go out and buy it" i'd be all over the 360 idea, but i'll wait till my brother gets one so then i can use it ;D

Just to clear something: Do you have PS2 or Xbox? The Show isn't available on Xbox.

Go buy MVP Baseball 2005 for PC...then go to www.mvpmods.com and download the mvp 06 mod. It's better than both other console options (I checked)...and it'll save you some serious money, because nowadays, you could probably pick up 2005 for about 20 bucks.

I'd do it just for the Mike Jones CD.
(In reality, I hate Mike Jones. Just trying to be funny, but I failed.)

You should get the Max Drive, and download the rosters. Max Drives are a great thing to get.

To answer your question TJ...it's really simple. You download the fairly large file (I'm asuming you ARE NOT on dial up)...and then it's basically a patch. You just type in the root file when prompted (wherever you installed it) and just watch the magic work. It takes about 20 minutes to install...so I made a sandwich, and when I came back, I was amazed to see what a bunch of ordinary guys could do to improve upon an EA SPORTS game that much. Seriously.
If any of you play with a console...or just the old 2005 version, I would never ever walk a batter because the little green section was so damn easy to hit.
With 06, walks are actually possible, but at the same time, strikeouts are possible. No matter what you do with sliders, you can't get this realistic of a game in general.
Plus with the roster overhaul and whatnot...all the minor league players are included (which I think the Daytona Cubs can attest to...but not sure there).
EVERY single stadium has been updated. So the Skydome is now the Rogers Centre, complete with the new scoreboards along the outfield walls and stuff. The Giants stadium is now AT&T Park...complete with all the changes. All the stadiums now have real advertisements...like the Metrodome, where there's that Dodge advertisement on the outfield wall...about the 100-mph fastball...can't quite remember the actual ad here....
Anyways, I could rant on about the improvements forever. I was looking for a nice little upgrade on my game, and what I got blew me away.
