Probably not, but you're reading way too deep into that...they're both in the same area, so whatever phenomenon it was would affect both.
And if the mic cut out, how come you could hear the whole FSN Bay Area call uninterrupted on ESPNEWS?

Not really, but I'm calling BS on this one....Kuiper and Krukow made no reference to a momentary loss in signal. ESPNEWS played the whole highlight with no ESPNEWS anchor voiceover multiples times without any outages or references to an outage.
EDIT: I just saw it again on ESPNEWS. Kuiper never blacked out once. I don't know what that guy is talking about.
