Tigers got a steal with Miller. I think he will be a good major league pitcher.

what is up with the Royals? Hochevar wasn't even in the Top 5 Pitchers in the prospect rankings by Baseball America.

Miller looks like a great pick for us. Royals took a reach and we got a GREAT pitcher.

Cubs picked Jeff Samardzija in the fifth round. Probably the only one I knew that was going into the draft. Hopefully he will turn out good.

i greatly question the Braves going with an Outfielder in the first round
currently, our outfield is set with Andruw Jones, Ryan Langerhans, and Jeff Francoeur, all three are young and promising
i do like that we got pitching in the suplemental round, but we should have gotten an infielder or something, because i doubt we'll keep Renteria or Giles around for too many more years, not because they won't play well, but because we're the Braves and we trade the best players away
i can only hope that we don't use this first round outfielder as a backup plan so we can trade Francoeur, Langerhans, or Jones

Are any of their contracts up? Or soon to be done?

These guys take like 5 years to grow, and you can't really be to sure Francoeur or Andruw Jones will stay that long if they keep producing.

I don't think so. Everyone wants to scrutinize whatever the Royals do anymore, and in the past week, they've done good for themselves. Hochevar isn't that bad. I was like you at first, but he seems like he could potentially be a good ML pitcher. Pitched in the International League last year against decent players, and they use wooden bats in that league, rather than aluminum. Miller is good, I just think he is over-hyped.
