www.cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/9552662Cincy just got screwed over by Jim Bowden. That's like having John Kruk diet better than you. Seriously, a team ONE GAME FROM THE WILDCARD trading 2 starting players for a bunch of bullpen guys? Are you kidding me?

Yes.
That's the only explanation for this.
And this tells me the Nats are obviously gonna move Soriano and/or Guillen....no way are they trading for another outfielder with the intention of keeping them.

Kearns is your typical slugging outfielder. He'll hit home runs for you. He's a valuable player.
He's been hurt a lot, but in his rookie year he hit .300.

There problem isnt scoring runs, there problem is holding leads late, thats why they traded for some more bullpen help.

....Gary Majewski? Gary Majewski is the bes they can do with a slugging young outfielder and a solid shortstop?
I understand their intentions, but they did horrible here.

Yeah I agree they didnt do a very good job with this trade, but I can see what they were trying to do. But your right trading a slugging young outfielder and one of the best SS in the NL for bullpen help? *Scratches head*

WTF!!!! Kearns is an all-star waiting to happen, he has bad luck with injuries. And we wait a couple of horrible years for Larkin's replacement, he does good, and now we fing trade him. I swear to god we aren't allowed to do good.

Kearns is on pace for over 175 strikeouts... 30 HR 100 RBIs are nice, but that's a lot of wasted at bats right there... Lopez also wasn't the slickest fielder either, and he's certainly cooled off...
But I agree, terrible deal. Washington weakened their bullpen, but their offense does look slightly better, although much of Kearns and Lopez's success came from playing in one of the best hitter parks in the league...
