Wouldn't it be funny is he got hit by a car and was forced to retire. All this fuss would be for naught.

What is funny is seeing everyone freak out that he will break the record, when A-Rod is gonna break it in 4-5 years.

It is the fact that Barry Bonds will hold the record with all of the suspicion surrounding him. Not only that, but Barry is a freaking dick. I think I speak for a majority of baseball fans when they say they would rather see Griffey Jr. here instead of Barry Ladouche Bonds.

Griffey probably would be here too, if not for those injuries. What a career he could've had (not that the one he currently has isn't to bad either)

innocent until proven guilty in m books...if he breaks it and isnt convicted the record should stand, but I do believe A-Hole will break the record some day...ever since he left Seattle for more money i have hated that douche

Bonds very well may be innocent but that doesn't excuse him for being an ignorant person. As long as A-Rod stays on this pace, he will break the record easily. Griffey is still having a great career. He is just a great guy. I don't know anyone who can really say a negative thing about Griffey.

i wish he never would have left Seattle, he was the most loved person in Seattle...anyone see his comeback this season, fans gave him a standing ovation for almost a minute
