Picked it up today, the gameplay takes a little getting used to, but you can see a vast improvement in it. On medium in 04' I could score with ease, in my first game in 05', I lost 5-0 on medium, and had 25 shots.
The dynasty it much improved, finally its a little closer to the standards of Madden in the owner mode functions, as it has owner expectations, a better financial part, realism, and you get ermails and stuff which is cool, although both Madden and MLB have it as well.
Any hockey fan should buy this game, because you will miss not being able to watch it on t.v.

I skipped out on last years, but I feel a little hockey energy in me this season. Maybe I'll nab it, or the 20 dollar ESPN.

I have only played ESPN, but if NHL is better, I may pick it up. ESPN is awesome, so I may just rent NHL first and then make my decision.

Question on the game: Is it more simulation this year? It seems like it, but I'm making sure. Last year, it had more of an arcade feel to it. It's good to hear that the dynasty mode has been upgraded.
And yes, NBA Live 2005 is going to rock! I'm loving the screens of the new graphics engine...can't wait.

From what it seems like, this game seems pretty cool. However, the thing I hated about 2004 was, the one-timers were so friggen easy.
Is that fixed?
