I was just wondering what some of you guys thought about the trade? I think this is a great trade for the Senators.

Well if you don't like the sport, how do you know much about it? I think if Heatly gets away from what happened when he played with Atlanta, he can get even better.

Atlanta was dumb for giving him up, such an awesome young talent.

Atlanta was dumb for giving him up, such an awesome young talent. as is marian hossa, just a little older. This deal is very fair, even though i hate heatley hossa and heatley are 2 of the top young talent and can help both teams in differant ways. Kovalchuk and Hossa are speedsters with scoring touch so they will combined well

My sens gave too much IMO, because Hossa and Heatley are pretty much equal, and giving a d-man make it a good deal for Atlanta, but I see this trade happening because Ottawa need salary cap space.

I did not know this, but Heatly requested the trade because of all of the bad things that happened to him in ATL.

First Snyder dies, now Dan is gone...I am no longer a Thrasher fan.

I think Dan being traded was the best option. Hossa should be ok in Atlanta,

First Snyder dies, now Dan is gone...I am no longer a Thrasher fan. But heatley is just as good, if not Better than Heatley. Plus Atlanta gets a solid d-man.

I think Atlanta made off better. Hossa is in the upper echelon of wingers in the league and he's only getting better. As for Heatley, he's a great young talent but I don't know how much all the crap in Atlanta has affected him.

Hossa is a great player, the Thrashers didn't get an awful deal like some are saying....Heatley is obviously very good and should become a great player, but at this point we don't know if he can become that kind of player especially after the tragedy.
