That's what I say. To get back on topic, Stevens retired at the right time. He went out with his last season being a good one (the last one he played in, I mean) and not dragging out his career as a liability. Eric Lindros must be jumping for joy.

lol Colin White will be the next Devil to end a Lindros season. Anyway, We had no cap room to keep him, and he didn't want to play elsewhere. It's good he left now instead of coming back and making us cut a young player so he could play one more year.

I hate scott stevens he sux since i am a flyers fan i hate every devil i guess he was a good player but i hate him with a passion and i'm glad he retired.

Firstly, I wish ASM would stop spamming in this section just to add to his damn post count. Secondly, going back to Stevens, where does everybody rank him among his peers all-time? I know there's going to be somebody saying he's in the top 20 (maybe) all-time at his position, but I think really that his career was nothing memorable until his last 5-6 years. He didn't become the bone crusher until then and it also helped him that he had Martin Brodeur to fall back on.

Scott Stevens was one of the best offensive defensemen for the first 10 years of his career, then he became the bone shattering hitter we knew him as.
