I also believe they are serious playoff contenders this season.

I still think they're a piece or two away from the playoffs. Their defense is still missing alot and it's very young. Dick Tjarnstrom and Sergei Gonchar are solid defensemen (offensively, that is) but not good enough to anchor the entire defense.
