Sad to see him go... definitely Top 10 of all time. Even though I despise him for his cheap goal in the Stanley Cup a few years ago when his skate was clealry in the crease, but all the same, one of the best all time.

What did you want me to do, be on his jock? I respect him somewhat, and I know he's a great player, but when a guy gets the gamewinning goal in double overtime on you by a fluke goal and gets away with it, and he gets all this glory while your team has to fly home to nothing, it pisses you off quite a bit. IDK, maybe none of your teams have ever been in a big game before but idk...

i understand the betting part, but being a fan, you have nothing to do with the game so dont imply you did

Just shut up. Everyone is sick of your non-sense. And yes it did have something to do with him because he is apart of the team being a fan. If it wasnt for him cheering then the players wouldnet get pumped as much.

I remember ASM saying he'd never post in the NHL section again...good to see he keeps promises.
Anyway, the way Hull retired(5 games into the season) is pretty dick, he should have either done it before the season or after...not during.

I think he retired the way he did because he thought he could go one more year like some of his former teammates did (Yzerman, Shannahan, etc.) but he found out he didn't have it. It was very sudden though, and it kind of puts PHX in a bad spot.

What is this, He screwed me out of a Stanley Cup from a goal that shouldn't have counted?, last time i checked you had nothing to do with the Stanley Cup... You are just freakin retarded. I'm sorry, but until you know anything about hockey, you should just shutup. The Sabres faced the Stars in the Stanley Cup a few years back, and in the series-ending game, it went to double overtime. Anyways, the Stars were in the Sabres end, and one of em shot at Hasek, and he saved it, it deflected to Hull who's skate was clearly in the crease (which was not allowed in the NHL at the time) and shot the puck in to win the Stanley Cup. So Stars win and Sabres lose, so instead of the city of Buffalo getting a Stanley Cup, we got nothing because of a goal that shoudln't have counted. Not only that, but the referees reviewed the goal, and even though you could still clearly see his skate was in the crease (I'm talking complete undisputable evidence), the refs stuck with the call.

I am not saying you can't blame anyone because you can and your doing it right now but is he the right person to blame in your case? Well, Brett just didn't like the time he was playing with the Red Wings and I wish he could of retired better but if he wants to leave the game now, he must. Good luck Brett in your life. |2uff

Seeing how our city hasn't had much too celebrate championship wise, I'm sure its safe to say I'm not the only one that has ever wanted to stab Brett Hull mercilessly even though it wasn't really his fault.

^^I'm a Sabres fan too, and I don't like the guy either for the same reasons. He friggin' wrecked the Sabres' best chance in a while for a Cup, still pisses me off today, like the Music City Miracle or Scott effing Norwood.

I hated Brett Hull for much different reasons (He's a pompous, arrogant loud-mouth) but I do know when I saw one of the greatest goal-scorers of all-time and he was one of them.
And Terps/McGahee, have you guys seen a shirt that was going around in Buffalo that says "Wide Right, No Goal, Forward Pass...Screwed Again"? My parents told me they saw one awhile back but I wanna know if it was something that went into production to mass produce or if somebody was just being funny.

I think is ego got in the way fo him. I don't think he was happy being a 3rd line winger, getting 10 minutes a game when he was expecting much more. He couldn't handle it.

Guys don't worry about ASM. He doesn't know what it's like to show emotion toward a team, because he just hops aboard whoevers will win.
