Skills Competition: PLEASE, for the love of god, throw in a skills competiton. The 2k series, while I don't like it that much, has the right idea with the skills events. It's alot of fun to do in general, let alone when a couple of your players are having great years and you get to put their skills to the test.
Better Stanley Cup Celebrations: it's the same tired ones all the time. I'd like to not only see the on ice celebration, but clips of the insanity in the locker room.
Improved Scouting and Better Draftees: 2001 had it right when it allowed you to create players and then stick them in the draft. Nowadays, scouting is horrible and all your prospects turn out horrid.
Lose the stupid Goals from Dynasty Mode: I hate it when my goal is something stupid like "win the art ross" and i win 2 stanley cups instead and still get fired. These goals are ridiculous. I could see them being in for the elite teams but mainly as a "win the stanley cup" goal.
Any other suggestions/wishes?

I agree, it's been the same damn things basically every year. Yeah, I freaking love this game this year, but those litle things would make it so much cooler.
My Suggestions:
Hold off on this game until rosters are updated. Selanne on the Avs, Crosby not even in thhe game etc. I know they aren't going to wait for the season to start, but get the rosters as accurae as possible so for those who get the game early enough don't have to wait a month for a roster update.
Also, can we get some better CAP appearances. They look more like Shrek characters than hockey players to me, and that's saying something, because they don't look like Shrek characters at all, but just bad in general. Also, how come an 82 overall guy gets paid 2.5 million, but an 84 overall CAP gets paid almost 5?
The only other thing- commentary. It still sucks, but I can just turn it off, but still

Skills competition on 2K is sick. I used to play that before my street hockey games. It was a ton of fun.

McGahee, I'm pretty sure the only reason the cap wasn't involved this year was because the NHL didn't actually agree on one until later in the development of the game.

I have 2 main things I hate. Dynasty - "Goals" like top 10 in profit...who the fuck cares.? Draft - IT SUCKS. Enough said. Everything aobut it sucks, the scouting, the prospects suck, and get some better names i swear by year 6 all there is Marcel Cierniks and Marcel Ballos everywhere... and also it they have a name like Nikolai Sisyeov they're not from f-ing thunder bay, ontario! they're obviously european like russia or slovakia.. |

Create a Player is pretty solid this year, but it could be improved. The goals thing needs to go, like i said before. They should bring back the GM unlockables they had in 04. that was better than the goals.

you pretty much nailed everything i want in 07. i hate drafting most of all. i drafted the #1 overall pick and he was on my 4th line and i was columbus!
