Im from Montreal and we just go screwed big time by the Avalanches
Jose Theodore vs David Aebischer...
your thoughts on that trade ?

Colorado scored big on this. Abby has alot of talent but to get a proven guy like Theodore is huge for the Avs. Basically upgraded their goaltending position at no cost. With Budaj waiting in the wings, things look very good between the pipes for the Avs.

Theodore is brutal. Aebi is a much better goalie and showed it in the olympics. Avs lost this seaosn by trading for a goalie they can't use while 2 some-what solid but still growing goalies to play.

Did Theodore not get benched? I know Huit is great (IMO) but he was struggling big time. I don't know if Aebi has been doing a lot better recently (once I dumped him from my Fantasy team i lost track) but I don't know if that was the best move. Couldn't they have gotten Luongo?

THey are saying here that aebischer was the best that they can get for him althought im not comvinced.... i thought we traded him to get salary cap room but now the trade deadline is passed and we didnt do ****... blah |

I still think talent-wise, Colorado got the better end of this one. Maybe a change of scenery will be what Theodore needs to get that drive back.

I think the Avs offered Theodore a life-time supply of Rogaine so how could he not want to go to Colorado  On a serious note the Oilers absolutely raped the Bruins in the Samsonov Deal. Possibly the greatest trade in oilers history (besides getting rid of Tom Poti) |
