That game was awesome. Robert Esche was 38/40 behind an awful playing Philadelphia defense. Kevin Weekes played great as well. Just an awesome game. The goalies are what made that game interesting. Nice showing by both teams.

They had a lot of unlucky shots. Still, it was a great performance by Kevin Weekes. I just don't understand why Ken Hitchcock put Handzus up #3 in the shootout. I know Zus has been good in the shootout, but I think some guys have just been playing a bit better of late. I must say Sami Kapenen played great. For a little guy, he was finishing his checks nicely. He is really stepping up in the absence of some of the regulars.

I watched that game to see how the teams my Sabres would be playing and I must say, that was a great game. Robert Esche, my hat is off to you. He single handedly kept Philly in that. Weekes was also beasting it for the Rangers. Kapanen had a great game, but his slip up off the face off caused the tying goal. Best game I've seen in a long time, hands down. See ya in the playoffs Philly, and even if it's not in the 1st round, you'd be a great matchup in the ECF

That would be a great Eastern Conference Finals. I thought the playoffs were good last time around, now with some of the teams this year, it will be even better. It was the best staying up to watch the late games that were deep in overtime even though exams were the next day. BTW, is there a shootout in the playoffs or is it continuous overtime?

Im pretty sure it's continuous overtime. I hope it is, as a shootout is no way to decide a playoff series. Anyhow, I'm hoping the refs keep calling the same calls in the playoffs, and if they do, it should be great. There is a lot more depth in hockey this year, and that will hopefully show. Also, i saw a commercial that NBC has the playoffs. This is good, as i'm not OLN's biggest fan

I don't mind OLN that much. The commentators seem better than a lot of ESPN's guys, but I hate how the high definition is crap and is sometimes never even available... but it's good to see NBC is actually going to start airing games again...
