Pronger Wants Out

Reports are that Chris Pronger has requested a trade at the wishes of his wife that would get him out of Edmonton. His wife has said the reason she wants out is because he is "away alot because of the travelling". Bull****. You dont want to be here cause its f'n cold and your a pussy. I am so pissed off right now it isn't even funny. Another stupid thing is that the Prongers sold their Edmonton house BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS WERE OVER. That is so disrespectful to the best hockey fans in the world I honestly am speechless. I hope he gets traded to the worst team in the league like Chicago or Columbus and goes on to NEVER EVER win a stanley cup as he almost did this year with the Oilers and how does he show his appreciation? He asks for a trade.

Well I guess I have to look at the bright side at least we may get something more than what we got for Gretzky, Coffey, Messier, Guerin, Weight, Joesph, and ever other Oiler that became good in the last 25 years.

then why did he sign a 5 year contract in the first place? I say that unless something very grevious happens you should honor an agreement not ask to be traded cause your afraid of being cold.

Actually I did hear something rather interesting today. There is a rumor going around that Pronger had an affair with a Sherwood Park teenager. What's more is now the teenager is pregant. Just a rumor I heard although it is doubtful it's true it could explain his sudden change of heart.

I would love it if this deal went through but once again it is doubtful cause Jokinin just signed a monster deal with the panthers a couple months back, but it would be pretty sweet.

If florida even thought about this deal theyshould be lined up and shot one by one....this has to be the worst deal ever made up... Pronger isn't worth an up and coming defenseman and a gritty goal scorer like Jokinen...

Florida would never make that trade, that report is bogus. Like you said Jokinen just signed a long-term deal (in hopes that Luongo would stay, obviously that didn't happen) and he's basically the entire team. If they would've waited they might have been able to deal Bouwmeester and Luongo for Pronger, but they made out pretty well with the trade they made.

I really can't think of anywhere Pronger might end up. Detroit is a good possibility if they can't sign Lidstrom, but they don't have a lot to give up right now. I doubt he'll be dealt, honestly.

This will probably depend on whether or not McCabe resigns or not (they have agreed on a deal a couple months ago but haven't signed anything)

and also on the whole pregnancy front my sister's boyfriend's best friend is on the Oilers (Kyle Brodziak if you want to look him up) and he has said that on numurous occasions he has seen several Oilers (not neccesarily Pronger but it could be him) quote en-quote "cheating on their wives with hockey sluts". Also he has mentioned that Pronger is a big ***hole.

That's a trade that makes sense, I think. If you're Edmonton assuming they get Stajan, you get another good young forward and an offensive defensman.

Toronto beefs up their defense in a division that's got a lot of offense plus you give a young Raycroft some support.

I agree with the statement that Jokinen and Bouwmeester for Pronger would be a touch ridiculous. I could see Pronger in San Jose. They need a true #1 defender and they have a wealth of young talent as well as a possible goaltending solution should Edmonton not be able to re-up Roloson. Something along the lines of Vesa Toskala and Jonathan Cheechoo? I don't think Cheechoo is leaving though.

I could see your deal ryan..Cheechoo is a maurice richard winner and a huge fan favorite..hes not going anywhere...I could see the Ottawa deal happening cause Chara is leaving Ottawa and they could use a new top D-man and well Sens can part with #1 pick semi-bust Chris Phillips and Martin "Pele" Havlat... adding Havlat would make the Oilers attack so much more speedy so everyone wins..

yeah there is absolutely no way the Sharks trade Cheechoo. Anyway the TO deal looks done with McCabe resigned with the Leafs as well the Ott deal doesn't look so good anymore either with Redden resigning as well.
