Wish he'd have stuck with the Red Wings, but the guy got greedy both in Detroit and Carolina. Shame to see him go.

Foppa as a captain will be nice to see. Primeau had a solid career but I don't think he ever lived up to his draft status (who does anymore?). Sad to see anyone but Eric Lindros retire early due to injury. *This means you need to retire right now, Eric. NOW!*

It's a shame. He really came through in 2004 when he beasted it in the playoffs, and even with adding Forsberg, he looked to still be a center-piece, but with the concussions and everything it just never happened...

Primeau hasn't ever been a center piece. He under achieved until he became a dressing room leader, then it was known that he wouldn't really carry a team offensively. Solid player, but never spectacular.
