I'm more the play-making type as well. A few years back, when Columbus and Minnesota first started in the NHL, me and midgetsniper were apart of a team at NHL breakout. We crushed our age group and I was the top scoring defensemen with an assload of assists because i kept feeding him and our buddy Evan who combined for 56 points in 4 games. You know, my roller hockey team could use a defenseman. You would be ideal. You get a pink jersey. What else could you ask for? |

the best player in the game is playing (forsberg) and he's healthy so they can do some damage no doubt about that.

Mike Rathje did a phenomenal job blowing that game. That smart ole front office of the Flyers bring in on all the best defensemen...  Forsberg better get off of his peiod already... he gets too emotional at the end of close games and if anybody even gives him the slightest shove, he acts like he got decked. Sanderson's penalty shouldn't have been called once that scuffle started, but this is not the first time Peter Forsberg's PMSing cost the Flyers a chance to come back... |

Well one thing is for sure, he helped the Flyers win more games then he made them lost.

They've won seven games this year... at least 3-4 games could have potentially been the other way had he not gotten a penalty in the last three minutes of the game.
As far as captains go, I must say Forsberg is sadly one of the worst I've ever seen...

Not that it's an excuse, but he clearly wants out. That's the only thing I can think of because he never acted this way in Colorado.
Also, about him being too emotional, I read that he consistently tries to prove his toughness to show guys like Don Cherry that Swedes (and european's in general) are tough players and not the sissy finesse players that Cherry makes them out to be.

The sad thing is that only eight players on the entire Flyers roster have more points than him, and they all play more than the 12 MPG that LeClair did...

Leclair has been washed up more than a few years. It seems like since the Legion of Doom broke up, he fell apart. But you could say that about Lindros and Renberg too.

Did Renberg just disapear? I think I remember hearing his last name called in a Leafs game, but I'm not sure.
Anywho, Buffalo wins ANOTHER shootout. Sabres had just 19 damn shots the whole game, eleven of them coming in the first. Eight shots in two periods and an OT is pretty bad, but we somehow found a way again.
Some good games on today... Wild and Stars, Sharks and Wings, and good ole Devils-Flyers. The last game, no matter who's where in the standings, is always a great game. With the way NJ has failed to be scoring, I'm calling a 3-2 win for the Flyers, with my favorite Flyers, Alexander Picard picking up a goal and an assist...

And then Buffalo gets shat on... Biron played horrendous, those were the weakest goals I've seen. Then you've got Ovechkin laying dirty hits on Briere all game (which I doubt he will be punished for) and coming off of a late night after a shootout win... definitely not the formula for a Sabres win...

Pierre Marc Bouchard with a pretty sick nasty move last night in a shootout. Sid the Kid also had a pretty nice goal, but I thought it was a dumb play. You can't say it was dumb because he scored, but i mean, attempting to split the D on a PP? I know my coach would be pissed. He'd probably say something like, "You kidding me! Get your head out of your ass"
