hockeysfuture.com/articles/9149There's the ISS list of the top 30 players...I kept reading about how Couture fell on this list (the Central Scouting Service had him as just the 19th best north american skater, however), so that should be interesting to see. Also, seeing where Angelo Esposito falls will be interesting. He was the next wonder kid and now he's being compared to Alexandre Daigle. Definitely not good for him. Anyways, discuss.

Flyers should definitely nab Esposito at #2. He's got Crosby/Forsberg potential all over him.
I don't know if I can buy Couture though. Doesn't seem like a guy who's going to be much of a star in the NHL, but that's based on limited information and highlights.
Dale Mitchell is my dark-horse late rounder that surprises people when he finally gets a chance. He can be a 25 goal scorer given the right circumstances...

I'm curious as to who the Hawks will take with the first pick, Kane or Cherepanov. I haven't seen alot of Cherepanov other than youtube, but he has pretty good wheels and a nasty, nasty shot.

Kane is incredible. I'll have to check out some of Cherepanov, but I don't know how anyone can top what Kane can bring...

Really, the only knock on him is his size but with the way the league has transformed, it isn't that big of an issue. He has great hands, especially in close and is super quick. Should be a good pro.

I am hoping the Flyers go for Esposito as well. It is a real beaver though when you have such a bad season and get the number two pick. At least this year there is not a Sidney Crosby sitting there.

with 3 1st rounders this year I really hope the oilers pick up someone that can help us this year or at latest next year. If they can't maybe trade for a pick or two next year in hopes of landing tavares.

Kane goes 1st, Van Riemsdyk 2nd, Turris 3rd (as Sniper predicted... by the way what do i even go call you any more with all your names) and Cherepanov drops all the way to 17th to the Rangers. Probably the steal of the draft. Esposito goes 20th to the Pens, another steal, who I thought had the potential to lead all rookies in assists this year. It's looking like no goalie will be selected in the first round...

I love how the Pens could potentially have lines where the centers are Crosby, Malkin, Staal, and Esposito... too bad the cap will hit hard and half of them will be gone... but yeah, just load them with some snipers and that offense would be pretty beast...

some how the oilers completely **** up the draft. I like their first pick, Gagner should be good in a couple years, but plante instead of esposito or cherapanov and then trading up for a player ranked like 40th or something and taking him at 21. WOW! I honestly hate being an oilers fan
