Hmmm, I wonder if your iPod has something to do with it, do you have iScrobbler?

Most of the good albums for me have already came out. The new Foo Fighters albums should be good, but the rest for me won't really get to me.
But I got to say most of the albums that came out in 07 really disappointed for me. At the beginning of the year, the 3 albums I was waiting for would of been Blood Stained Love Story by Saliva, Underclass Hero by Sum 41, and Minutes to Midnight by Linkin Park and all of those albums really disappointed me. All of them went in a really soft route, and no one of them pulled it off right. Really the best albums of the year are ones I would of never thought I would love. Like the Queens of the Stone Age new albums, Era Vulgaris, had a lot more pop then Songs for the Deaf. I just hope 2008 is better.

The one album I really liked so far was Bayside's 'The Walking Wounded'. 'Icky Thump' by the White Stripes was also pretty good in my book.

I have never been a big fan of the White Stripes, but Icky Thump was pretty good.
Arrivals & Departures by Silverstein is a really good album that I have really enjoyed. Also on a more heavy side, Hell Yeah's self titled album was really good, and Static-X cannibal was good.
Also another disapointing album was Chevelle's Vena Sera. It was a decent but nothing close to Chevelle's other stuff.

My top 5 right now this year are:
05) Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start // Worst Band Name Ever 04) Stars // In Our Bedroom After the War 03) Modest Mouse // We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank 02) Bloc Party // A Weekend in the City 01) Interpol // Our Love to Admire
Subject to change though, I'm slowly starting to get more and more of We Were Dead... and Our Love to Admire is fairly new, and will probably wear off. Outside of my top 10, disappointing year, though several solid releases left.

Vena Sera- Chevelle Cannibal- Static-X Era Vulgaris- Queens of the Stone Age Arrivals & Departures - Silverstein Hell Yeah - Hell Yeah There is my list in a pretty bad year. Era Vulgaris is really the only respectable album on that list, the rest of it is all fairly standard stuff, IMO. Chevelle is a joke to be honest, I got free tickets to one of their shows and it was really horrid from start to finish.

I don't know about Chevelle live, but there recorded stuff is good. They have a good singer in Peter Loeffler. I really like his sound.
Also I really think Hell Yeah's album is amazing. It really hits ya hard and hits ya fast. Anything Vinnie Paul touches is gold. Also I'm a HUGE Mudvayne fan, so I love the vocals that Chad Gray provides.
Normally Vena Sera, and Cannibal wouldn't make a list like this but this year has been crap.

In Our Bedroom After the War is an album I don't believe I would've listened to at the beginning of the near, but I gave it a chance late one night, and found how beauitful it was. Also, right now I'm on a Modest Mouse kick, been spinning The Lonesome Crowded West all day. Such a good album.

Chevelle is Hard Rock, Static-X is Metal with a techno sound, Queens of the Stone Age is a Alt rock with a funky sound, Silverstein is punk rock, and Hell Yeah is Southern Metal.

Chevelle is overproduced shit. Silverstein made the same record a million times by now. I don't listen to metal

Once I see Chevelle do some live stuff, I'll get back to you.
Also I have only heard this new album. I really didn't give them a try until I saw them live with Rise Against

Santi? Really? I'm intrigued as to why. I don't know, I really like Seed, Same Blood, and Bulls in Brooklyn. Sleeping With Giants is probably my favorite song this year. The rest of the album isn't terrible either. Keep in mind those are about the only 5 albums I've fully listened to this year.
