Watch out for Coop when you get him next year, don't know how EA has him, but he was a beast on the Kick Return, hell I even remember one time on a punt return. We needed him to catch it so it wouldn't bounce inside the 20. He stays and catches, as soon as he catches the ball, he gets sticked by the leading tackler in our class. Needless to say, he's a tough competitor. Congrats against the win against old Schnellenberger I will indeed give him playing time and maybe even a few plugs here and there thanks to your additional information. Plus, who doesn't enjoy those tough white receivers anymore? You don't see them too often, what ever happened to the Tim Dwight's, Wayne Chrebet's? If I recall correctly he was a pretty small dude, too. More like a slot receiver? I will be sure to look more into him next season.

Oklahoma State 42- 10 Troy Stick To The Sun Belt! Troy Still Winless, Cowboys Offense IgnitesTroy, AL -- It's been a rough start to the season for the Troy Trojans. Troy, the usual Sun Belt champion you would find in a bowl game each season has gotten off to a rugged start. You could blame it on bad scheduling or maybe even the fact that the Trojans tried a little too hard to make a statement, and failed. In their first two games they traveled to both Arkansas and Florida, the two teams in last seasons SEC Championship game. Instead of showing the rest of the college football nation that they are a program of the future; they did the opposite and were crushed in both contests. Things only got worse in the home opener against Oklahoma State. The beloved Cowboys haven't gotten off to a bad start at .500 and a close loss at Georgia, but offensive issues have been a pest to Coach Mike Gundy. As a former quarterback and the record holder for career passing yards at Oklahoma State, Gundy has found Bobby Reid's statistics and performance the first two weeks unacceptable. He demanded a change last week in a post-game press conference after a win over Florida Atlantic. If I were to say his wish was granted that would be an understatement. Oklahoma State completely exploded in front of the eyes of Troy hopefuls and the Trojan defense. Immediately, Bobby Reid appeared to be focused with a chip on his shoulder, hell the whole offense did. The first quarter consisted of some good ball movement by the Cowboys, but only one touchdown due to alot of ball control by the Troy offense. Oklahoma State did manage the games first score with a seven yard touchdown pass caught by tight end Justin Waller. That was just the start of what was to come. Defense was just part of the blame for Troy. Things began to take a turn when Trojans kicker Greg Whibbs missed an easy 31 yard field goal attempt. Oklahoma State capitalized on the good field position and capped off a second consecutive drive with a touchdown; this time a thirty-one yard touchdown catch by Tommy Devereaux. With defensive and special teams mistakes, the offense was the only thing left that Troy could count on. Unfortunately, they soon helped put their opponent on the scoreboard when quarterback Omar Haugabook fumbled the football after an eight yard scramble. The fumble was recovered by former quarterback, and star free safety Donovan Woods and returned for a fifty-nine yard touchdown. That latest score would be the last of the first half, but would only continue a second half surge from Oklahoma State. All hell started to break loose and quarterback Bobby Reid threw two more touchdown passes in the third quarter. Tommy Devereaux caught a second touchdown on a four yard pass, while Adarius Bowman received the other on a twenty-five yard pass. Backups began to come in and the reality set in on the Troy Trojans and their fans that they have begun the season at 0-3. Bobby Reid went without throwing an interception for the first time, and runningback Dantrell Savage went over the one hundred yard mark for the first time this season. All Troy can do is wait for Sun Belt Conference play to began so they can pick on somebody their own size. As for Oklahoma State, Coach Gundy can only hope that this wasn't a fluke. Next week the Cowboys return to Stillwater to face the high octane offense known as Texas Tech. Check out this weeks video beloweasportsworld.com/#video-17954/HOME/10367FS Donovan Woods with a 59 yard fumble return for a TD Individual Stats QB Omar Haugabook - 25/34 238 yds 1 TD 0 INT WR Mykeal Terry - 3 Rec 38 yds TD LB Marcus Richardson - 7 Tack 1 TFL QB Bobby Reid - 12/15 233 yds 4 TD 0 INT RB Dantrell Savage - 16 Car 110 yds TD FS Donovan Woods - 10 Tacks FR TD #10 Louisville Stunned by Rival in Overtime Last week we wrote about South Carolina pulling an upset on another conference team, but this weeks upset special is much bigger. The Kentucky Wildcats, a school who used to be known only for basketball and being a doormat in the SEC East during football season has done the unthinkable. I know, I know they have Woodson and Little and some other talent, but who would have expected them to knock off rival Louisville?! The Cardinals are loaded with talent led by quarterback Brian Brohm yet could not survive their overtime battle with the Wildcats. Kentucky won the game off of a field goal in overtime, while Louisville was scoreless in their possession during OT. Despite Brohm's best efforts (32-49 for 486 yds, 3 TDs) Louisville couldn't score when it mattered most. This upset is a special one for Kentucky, and will be remembered for quite some time. All I know is that I would hate to be an SEC Conference expert right now, how do you predict who's finishing where out of Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt in the SEC East? Hall, Alabama Quarterback Jeremy Osei Visting This Weekend Jeremy Osei will become the second recruit to visit Oklahoma State this season. The first was runningback Jim Hodges who visited during the Florida Atlantic game, rating his visit a B-. The Cowboys coaching staff are hoping to earn even higher grades this week from Osei, who currently has Oklahoma State listed as his second favorite school behind Florida. "I can understand Jeremy [Osei] having us listed behind Florida currently, after all it is a very intriguing school. However, I think that he will realize during his visit that we are the school for him, and that he would fit our offense perfectly in the future." Osei resides in Gresham Park, Georgia and luckily for Oklahoma State thats one of their pipelines. Coach Gundy has spoken to Jeremy Osei many times about what to expect in Stillwater, Oklahoma and about his visit this weekend during the Texas Tech game. "Hopefully my guys bring their A game this weekend. I think Jeremy [Osei] caught a glimpse of last weeks game against Troy on TV though, at least I hope he did [smiles]." I know one thing, if the Cowboys don't put on an impressive show for their visiting recruit, Texas Tech most certainly will. Oklahoma State 31-14 Texas Tech Red Raiders Throw This One Away Cowboys Ride Away in 4th QuarterStillwater, OK -- High anticipation came with the meeting between these two schools and it was the first taste of Big 12 conference play for each of them. What was expected to be a high-scoring shootout or offensive duel turned into a struggle to find each others offense in a downpour of rain. Unfortunately for both teams the weather had a huge effect on this game. Sloppy field conditions and a consistent fall of rain could mean only one thing for both offenses, turnovers. Whether it were a fumble or an interception this game accounted for nine turnovers from both teams. Thats something that neither head coach could be happy about. Texas Tech would surprise the Cowboys with a quick start on offense in the bad weather. Oklahoma State had previously went without giving up a score on an opening drive until this game, when the Red Raiders drove seventy-eight yards down the field and capped the drive with a one yard touchdown run. Many started to feel like the weather might not have as big of an impact as once thought when the Cowboys fired right back on offense. On their opening drive Oklahoma State also put up a touchdown, and ran the football very well. Adarius Bowman caught a three yard touchdown to knot the game at seven all. A Texas Tech turnover continued the quick momentum shift, and the Cowboys would take advantage with a thirty-three yard field goal. Things began to get sloppy from there on out. A series of turnovers occured during the second quarter and neither team was able to put up any points. Instead, Oklahoma State went into the half with a 10-7 lead. It wouldn't get much better in the second half either, that is until Texas Tech re-gained the lead on a huge play from their halfback. Shannon Woods caught the Cowboys defense sleeping on a fifty-five yard touchdown run up the middle, breaking three tackles before he broke loss in the open field. That score would break things loose and add a considerable amount of pressure to the Oklahoma State offense. Bobby Reid appeared to be back to his old ways, and threw three interceptions in this game. Though you can blame the weather, it is still clear Coach Gundy is unhappy with his quarterback throwing nine picks in four games. During the start of the fourth quarter Reid got nicked up, forcing him to sit for most of it. Down by four, it was up to backup quarterback Zack Robinson to lead the attack. While the weather began to get worse, Oklahoma State began to drive down the field. On third down Robinson proved to be a clutch backup when he evaded defenders and threw a somewhat lucky twenty yard touchdown pass to Tevin Williams for the lead. Texas Tech now had the intent to either tie the game with a field goal at 17 or retake the lead. Red Raiders quarterback Graham Harrell led his team down the field quite easily, and that was unexpected due to both offenses late struggles in this game. Harrell would make a costly mistake though, and was intercepted by strong safety Andre Sexton and it was returned for an eighty-three yard touchdown. Oklahoma State watched almost as if it was a replay of previous weeks. Sexton returned the interception for the Cowboys third defensive touchdown of the season. Things were officially over when Harrell threw another interception, only to have this one also returned for a seventy-one yard touchdown by cornerback Martel Van Zant. Texas Tech and quarterback Graham Harrell clearly fell apart after the Zac Robinson touchdown, throwing three interceptions and watching as two of them were returned to the endzone. The loss marks the Red Raiders first of the season and gives Oklahoma State a much needed win in their conference opener. Next week will be the Cowboys last regular season non-conference opponent when they host Utah State at Boone Pickens Stadium. Check out this weeks video beloweasportsworld.com/#video-17954/HOME/10367Backup QB Zac Robinson throws a very important 21 yard TD Individual Stats QB Graham Harrell - 21/43 292 yds 0 TD 3 INT RB Shannon Woods - 11 Car 87 yds 2 TD 3 Rec 34 yds CB Chris Parker - 5 Tack INT QB Bobby Reid - 12/26 162 yds 1 TD 3 INT WR Tevin Williams - 4 Rec 76 yds TD CB Martel Van Zant - 4 Tack 2 INT TD WR Adarius Bowman, SS Andre Sexton Suspended Even though last week was a win for the Oklahoma State football programs record, it was a loss in Coach Gundy's eyes when he witnessed the actions of one of his star players, and a questionable play by another. Star wide receiver Adarius Bowman was taken out of the game last weekend after he furiously taunted an opposing cornerback after an interception was thrown (see picture of Bowman above recap). Mike Gundy immediately took his receiver out and ordered him to the bench, where he sat the rest of the game. "That kind of behavior will not be tolerated by this program. Adarius [Bowman] will not embarrass himself or Oklahoma State football with actions such as those." were the words of Coach Gundy during the post-game press conference. He also announced that Bowman will serve a one game suspension during the Utah State game to go along with him sitting the second half last week. Strong safety Andre Sexton was also suspended, but only for one quarter of the Utah State game. Sexton was called for a clipping penalty during last weeks game, but coach wanted to review the play before taking action, so he left him in the game. It proved to be a good move on Gundy's part too, when Sexton possibly made the game changing play on an interception returned for a touchdown. It is not clear whether Andre's [Sexton] intent was to cause injury, but I am going to sit him during the first quarter to make sure he doesn't even make another play questionable. As for Adarius Bowman, I hope his suspension not only teaches one of our most valued seniors a lesson, but serves as an example to the rest of the football team that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Sooners Survive Near Upset by Tulsa #8 Oklahoma almost lost their first game of the season last weekend, but Tulsa came up just short. The Sooners cruised through in the first three quarters, but almost watched a miraculous comeback occur right before their eyes. The Golden Hurricane scored eighteen points in the fourth quarter to come within a touchdown of Oklahoma. One of the reasons Tulsa couldn't quite get over the hump was the play of quarterback Paul Smith. Smith completed just 42% of his pass attempts (33) and threw three interceptions. One of those interceptions was returned for a touchdown during the third quarter, and it's a score that could of been the seven point difference maker for Tulsa to get into overtime to achieve the upset. Oklahoma State 35-14 Utah State This Week's Aggies Game A 'Gimme Utah State Doesn't Put Up Much Of A FightStillwater, OK -- Sam Houston State might want to thank the Aggies of Utah State for replacing them on the schedule this week. Oklahoma State continued to roll through non-conference competition with an easy victory in horrible weather once again. The weather was about the only frustrating thing the Cowboys dealt with in this game considering this was their fourth game in stormy conditions. Well that, and the suspensions of two of their best players were a bit frustrating too. Surprisingly, losing Sexton for a quarter proved to be more of a problem than missing Bowman for the whole game. Utah State attacked backup safety Quintin Moore early and often in the first quarter, and it resulted in an early lead. The first half was actually very close with both teams knotted at seven a piece going into halftime. Runningback Dantrell Savage broke loose on a fifty-eight yard touchdown run to tie the game in the second quarter. A hopeful Utah State would wonder away from that point forward. Along with the second half came the coaching decision to let loose a bit, despite Bobby Reid's recent turnover issues with interceptions. Reid took advantage even without his star wideout in the game, and threw two touchdowns in the third quarter to begin pulling away. Jeremy Broadway caught one of the touchdowns on a twenty-one yard reception, while a recently struggling Tommy Devereaux caught the other on a seven yard pass. Bobby Reid completely picked apart the Aggies secondary in the second half, and would continue his success on a huge seventy-seven yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Broadway in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Utah State was clearly out of this game as soon as the second half began, unable to put a stop to the Cowboys offense. The Aggies were fortunate enough to score a touchdown in the middle of the fourth to close the gap a bit, only to give up one right back on another touchdown pass by Reid to Devereaux. Oklahoma State gave their starters some rest, and let the backups take over from there to prepare for the next few weeks. The Cowboys face a much more talented Aggies team next week, traveling to Kyle Field to take on #15 Texas A&M (5-0). The next five weeks will make or break Oklahoma State with four games against Top 25 opponents, all of which are in the Big 12 and three of them on the road. Check out this weeks video beloweasportsworld.com/#video-17954/HOME/10367QB Bobby Reid throws a 77 yard TD to Jeremy Broadway Individual Stats QB Leon Jackson III - 27/43 268 yds 2 TD 3 INT WR Nnamdi Gwacham - 8 Rec 112 yds DE Bevan Howard - 3 Tack 2 Sacks FF QB Bobby Reid - 16/23 279 yds 4 TD 0 INT WR Jeremy Broadway - 3 Rec 121 yds 2 TD MLB Rodrick Johnson - 13 Tack Mean Green Knock Off Arkansas Not very many teams can say they knocked off one of the SEC's best teams and #9 ranked Arkansas, but North Texas of the Sun Belt conference can. The Mean Green must of hit a mean streak last weekend, shocking the nation and the Razorbacks with a 20-14 upset. North Texas was in control throughout the whole contest in front of a packed crowd at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Runningback Jamario Thomas led the way for North Texas and kept them in control with 183 yards rushing. Though this was a huge upset for the Mean Green program, Arkansas would like to take note that heisman candidate Darren McFadden missed the contest due to injury. Felix Jones, a 1,000 yard rusher last season, was held to just 88 yards rushing. Other NCAA News:- #13 Auburn defending champion #3 Florida once again. - #12 Florida State upset by Nick Saban and Alabama. - Arkansas drops to #24 after loss to North Texas. - Alabama now ranked #21 after win over FSU. Oklahoma Almost Upset Again, This Time By Winless Buffaloes #7 Oklahoma almost lost last week to Tulsa on an amazing comeback, and showed they didn't quite learn their lesson this weekend against Colorado. The winless Buffaloes at 0-4 almost found a huge first victory coming up short by a touchdown. Oklahoma gave up 21 points in the second quarter, but was able to score a touchdown of their own in the fourth quarter to pull away. Sooners halfback Allen Patrick was the difference maker totaling 129 rushing yards and three of the Sooners four touchdowns. With so much talent on the roster many are wondering why Bob Stoops club is having these close games. #7 Oklahoma must prove they are for real this week when they take on rival #3 Texas on the road in the Red River Shootout. Other Big Twelve News:- #3 Texas easily bypasses K State. - Texas Tech embarrasses Div 1-AA opponent 64-3. - #15 Texas A&M still undefeated with win over Baylor. - #22 Nebraska knocks off Iowa State. #13 Texas A&M (6-0) 42-21 Oklahoma State (4-2) Win Streak Snapped Cowboys Take First Hit During Conference PlayCollege Station, TX -- Oklahoma State surprised a few people with their conference opening win over Texas Tech, considering they were picked to finish under the Red Raiders. Many doubted the Cowboys could come into Kyle Field and upset Texas A&M though, even after their impressive win over Tech. A few weeks removed from Big 12 competition, it appeared the Cowboys had lost their swagger. The Cowboys got off to a great start with a touchdown on the games opening drive, apparently enjoying a clear sunny day that they had not played in for awhile. Bobby Reid looked superb on that drive, and rushed for a four yard score for the early lead. The Aggies quickly answered right back with one of their own, a nine yard touchdown run by wide receiver E.J. Shankle on a reverse play. A packed crowd at "The 12 Man" erupted, and you could sense the reason why Kyle Field is one of the nations most feared stadiums in college football. With that kind of intimidation, it's enough to even effect your most experienced players. It did just that when senior Adarius Bowman coughed up a punt return giving the Aggies great field position. Texas A&M seized the opportunity and scored a touchdown on a thirteen yard run by runningback Mike Goodson just before the end of the first quarter. The Cowboys showed alot of competitiveness though, and would never back down. Quarterback Bobby Reid would connect on a fourty-four yard touchdown pass to Tommy Devereaux to tie the game up at fourteen. Both teams traded turnovers when Aggies quarterback Stephen McGee threw an interception, and Adarius Bowman fumbled another punt return, this time muffing it. Neither team would score again in the first half and would go into the half with a tie. Things remained close, yet Oklahoma State was having a horrible time on defense trying to stop Texas A&M. Though McGee would throw another interception, a forced punt gave the ball right back to the Aggies. Thats when the Cowboys began to crumble, and their defense couldn't stop nor force any more turnovers out of Texas A&M. It would result in a four yard touchdown run by McGee, but only because on a fourth and goal field goal attempt defensive tackle Larry Brown was called for encroachment giving the Aggies a first down. Brown's jump caused four more points, while Oklahoma State began struggling to even get close to the endzone. Texas A&M started to make all the right stops, and forced the ball back into the offenses hands. The Aggies would put another score on the board on the following drive. This time on an eleven yard run by Jovorskie Lane off of a fake handoff pitch to the outside that completely fooled the defense. At the start of the fourth quarter the Cowboys could feel this game beginning to slip away. Oklahoma State could do nothing about it on either side of the ball though, and were forced to punt it away once again. Thats when Texas A&M drove straight down the field on a third consecutive drive, and finished it off with another touchdown. You could sense that the Cowboys offense was starting to look desperate. Finally, the big play they had been hoping for came two touchdowns too late. Runningback Dantrell Savage broke free on a seventy-nine yard touchdown run off of an option play to close the gap within two scores. Unfortunately, only one side of the ball could make it happen and the defense continued to have its worst game of the season. Texas A&M would then put it away for good due to another failure on defense for Oklahoma State. Stephen McGee would find wide receiver Earvin Taylor wide open for a huge seventy yard touchdown to destory any last effort to come back from their opponent. Mental errors on both sides of the ball cost Oklahoma State their win streak and first loss in conference play this season. Fortunately, the Cowboys will have the chance to correct those errors back on the road against a struggling, but talented Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-3) team who just dropped out of the Top 25. Hall A Surprise To Heisman Race Take a guess who's leading the Heisman Race almost midway through the season. If you guess Darren McFadden, he's not even in the race due to an injury. How about Pat White? Well, he's also injured and not in the race. Brian Brohm? Not even in the race currently, and Mike Hart, not even in the race. So exactly who is in the top five on the chase for the Heisman Trophy? The story isn't completely who's in the top five, but who's on top of it. D.J. Hall, a wide receiver at the University of Alabama leads the Heisman Race with some pretty elite numbers. It's very rare for a wide receiver to top the list of candidates, but Hall right now belongs at #1. D.J. Hall is currently first in receiving yards with 766, and tops in receiving touchdowns with 12. He is also tied for second with 44 receptions and has dropped just one ball all season. Currently 12 touchdowns is tied for first in the nation for both runningbacks and receivers and more than most quarterbacks in the nation. Add the fact that John Parker Wilson has been hurt almost the whole season, and D.J. Hall is the primary candidate for a Heisman Trophy this season. The rest of the list includes Michigan wide receiver Mario Manningham, Texas quarterback Colt McCoy, Wisconsin runningback P.J. Hill, and Virginia Tech runningback Brandon Ore. It takes a good team to win games, and a great team to overcome certain obstacles such as those near upsets. Unfortunately, the Sooners didn't look so great this weekend. Texas probably could have blown out the Sooners had it not been for an early injury to heisman candidate and quarterback Colt McCoy. McCoy threw three touchdowns in the first quarter to get the Longhorns off to a 21-0 lead before leaving the game due to injury. Trailing 27-0 at halftime, Oklahoma pulled the opposite of what had been happening to them in recent weeks. A huge effort from Malcolm Kelly with two touchdowns and over a hundred yards receiving, and the rest of the offense Oklahoma would close the gap to within a field goal in the fourth quarter. Texas would score a late touchdown to pull the lead back to ten and keep it that way for the 34-24 win. The Longhorns defense annihilated the Sooners offensive line with nine sacks in the game. Good luck with that with that spread offense Leak. I think your backup QB, Zac Robinson will be pretty good.

Nebraska (4-3) 31-21 Oklahoma State (4-3) Where's The Offense? Oklahoma State Offense Suffers In LincolnLincoln, NE -- Count out the game against Troy and road visits have been very tough on Oklahoma State this season. Of course, it doesn't help that their previous two losses occured in stadiums such as Sanford Stadium, and Kyle Field, two of the nations toughest college football homes. Nebraska's home at Memorial Stadium, also called the Sea of Red would be no exception to Oklahoma State's tough road trips. A team loaded with defensive talent, Nebraska was hoping for a better start to the football season than a 3-3 record. A few tough losses may have spoiled a good start, but definitely wont keep the Huskers out of the race in a rather weak Big 12 North division. Trailing a red hot Missouri team, Bill Callahan and his team knew winning this game was very important for their division race. Nebraska wouldn't get off to a very good start though, and put the Cowboys on the board while they were on the offensive side of the ball. Huskers quarterback Sam Keller threw a perfect strike into the hands of Oklahoma State cornerback Martel Van Zant, and the interception was returned for a thirty yard touchdown, Van Zant's third defensive touchdown of the season. Oklahoma State would continue their success on the following drive, once again on defense. This time Keller was sacked and hit hard by defensive end Marque Fountain, popping the ball loose. Fellow defensive end Nathan Peterson recovered, and took the fumble thirty-five yards for another defensive score. Marque Fountain had a career day in this one with six tackles, five for a loss, and three sacks to go along with his fumble forced. Despite two early defensive scores it would be the Oklahoma State offense who got the most attention during this game. Watching as their defense put up fourteen points, Bobby Reid and the Cowboy offense looked helpless against a very strong Nebraska defense. The Oklahoma State D could only hold on for so long, and Nebraska answered their two scores with one of their own on a fifty-two yard touchdown scamper by Marlon Lucky. Just like his last name, Marlon was lucky to get out the grasp of cornerback Martel Van Zant and stay in bounds during the long run. An interception thrown by Reid gave the ball right back to the Cornhuskers, and immediately changed the course of this game. Nebraska struck with another big play, this time on a seventy-eight yard touchdown pass from Keller to Maurice Purify. The momentum of the second quarter would carry on throughout the third quarter as well, but with the process slowed down a bit. Nebraska would manage to score a go-ahead touchdown, but it would take a fourth and goal effort by tight end Josh Mueller on a six yard pass in the endzone. By the end of three quarters quarterback Bobby Reid had just thirty-three passing yards and runningback Dantrell Savage just six carries in the game. Clearly locked down, Oklahoma State finally would manage an offensive touchdown. Savage began to get some touches he had patiently been waiting for and broke free up the middle on a thirty-three yard run to tie the game at 21. The Huskers re-assumed control on offense, and would near perfection on their two-minute drill. Nebraska came just one yard short of the endzone, but came through on three third down conversions to keep the drive alive anyway. A field goal by Jake Wesch from twenty-two yards out with forty-six seconds left gave Nebraska a three point lead. Wesch, who missed a twenty-four yard chip shot before halftime, almost nipped the post on the field goal try. With less than forty seconds to go and trailing by three, the pressure fell on the shoulders of struggling quarterback Bobby Reid. Reid felt the same pressure at Sanford Stadium during the opener before crumbling and throwing an interception. Oklahoma State was hoping they wouldn't witness an encore of that performance. Deja-vu would strike, and Bobby Reid would try and force a pass between three defenders. Husker cornerback Cortney Grixby intercepted the pass and juked his way past Reid into the endzone to put this game to rest, and to give him his second pick of the day. As the Oklahoma State quarterback came off the field you could hear him muttering in frustration at himself [mothaf..] before Coach Gundy spoke a few words himself to the quarterback on the sideline. The Cowboys need to end this two-game slide quickly, and return home to host Kansas State next week. Luckily, Oklahoma State has yet to lose at home and hopes to continue that success with a few important recruits visiting Boone Pickens Stadium to watch the game. Seven recruits out of the 2008 class will be watching the Kansas State game this weekend at Boone Pickens Stadium, while five of them are on Gundy's top ten list of favorites. "Not to sound cocky, but I have complete faith that my players are going to come away with a victory in this one. It couldn't be better timing for us to treat our guests and hopefully future players with a win to snap this ridiculous losing streak." Hopefully, Coach Gundy has planned this one perfectly and Oklahoma State can snap out of it. Among the recruits visiting are six foot, seven inch tall defensive end Andrew Schuler, wide receiver Marvin Clark, strong safety Darryl Ratliff, defensive tackle Cole Anderson, and defensive end Jarod Cunningham. All of which are four or five star recruits with four of them in the Rivals 100. Gundy is hoping that Clark, and Ratliff who have the Cowboys listed as their top school will near a commitment after the visit. Perhaps the schools biggest win was this weekend against #12 Oklahoma. Coming off of a loss to rival Texas, many expected the Sooners to give the Tigers their first loss of the season. Missouri started off the season with an easy schedule, but has since knocked off Oklahoma, and Nebraska the past two weeks. Both schools were in the Top 25 and were expected to derail the Tigers undefeated season. Neither were successful, with the win over Oklahoma most surprising on the road. Football is a team effort, but you cant help to believe that Missouri wouldn't be anywhere near this mark without quarterback Chase Daniel. Daniel is currently being snubbed by the heisman race by not having any consideration as you can say by his numbers. Chase has thrown for 1,702 yards and 17 touchdowns already this season, but with just one interception. If he can continue that kind of success, Missouri might not only be a threat to win the North division, but a threat to win the Big 12 itself. Good luck with that with that spread offense Leak. I think your backup QB, Zac Robinson will be pretty good. Thanks, I also think that Zac could be good for us. Unfortunately though he may only get one year under center for us considering whether Reid stays which is likely. hopefully you can hand the Cornhuskers their second conference loss in your next game Unfortunately, that didn't happen. We had plenty of opportunities to get in control and never took advantage. Thanks to both of you for reading.

Oklahoma State (5-3) 42-21 Kansas State (3-4) Welcome Back! Oklahoma State Enjoys Trip Back HomeStillwater, OK -- Its only been two weeks that Oklahoma State has been away from home, but with the way they reacted arriving back you could of sworn it had been months. There's no question the past two games on the road physically and emotionally drained the Cowboys, and they were ready to put the past behind them and get back to winning football games. Immediately things began with runningback Dantrell Savage getting hurt on the first play of the game. As fans awaited the news of his injury, backup halfback Julius Crosslin broke off a thirty-nine yard touchdown run on his first carry. Oklahoma State would have followed that up with another score, but offensively began to slow down when Bobby Reid threw an interception in the redzone. Though that has been a very familiar site for Cowboy fans, Reid didn't have too bad of a game. That turnover would help Kansas State tie this game up on a one yard run by runningback James Johnson in the second quarter. The Cowboys offense for once didn't get discouraged, and put together perhaps one of their best quarters of the season. Bobby Reid would hit tight end James Waller on a four yard touchdown pass to re-take the lead. A few punts later, Oklahoma State would score once again on a fifty-three yard touchdown pass from Reid to wide receiver Jeremy Broadway. The first half was nearing its close, but Kansas State wanted to use the time they had left wisely. That plan would backfire, and quarterback Josh Freeman was picked off on a hail mary with no time left. The worst part is that the interception was returned seventy-nine yards for a touchdown by cornerback Perrish Cox to give Oklahoma State a 28-7 lead at the half. Even the Cowboys recruiting targets who visited were slightly surprised by the first half results, expecting a much closer game. So was Kansas State, and they began to close the gap with an eleven yard touchdown pass on the opening drive. A very successful offense in the first half, Oklahoma State couldn't keep up the same intensity during the third quarter. The Wildcats took advantage, and would get within one score of the Cowboys in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Freeman would find runningback James Johnson and his cat-like quickness for a fifty-two yard touchdown. By that point Oklahoma State showed that they have had enough. Dantrell Savage, who returned from his injury during the second half, would be the one to break free on a long touchdown this time. Reid made a perfect pitch while being gang-tackled and setup a sixty-eight yard touchdown run on the option play for Savage. Kansas State would never recover afterwards. Though the Wildcats put together two consecutive long drives to attempt a comeback, both were stopped short on fourth downs in the redzone. The Cowboys would get into the endzone one more time to extend the lead to three touchdowns on a seventy-two yard touchdown pass from Reid to Adarius Bowman. That score would push the final score to 42-21, and a very important win for Oklahoma State. The next two weeks are by far the toughest of the season for the Cowboys. Oklahoma State travels to Norman, OK to face off with rival #19 Oklahoma. The Sooners have dominated the rivalry, and haven't lost this game since 2001. Coach Gundy is hoping to get his first victory over Bob Stoops in his career this weekend. Though he didn't get a sack in the first two games, Fountain is now tops in the NCAA with a whopping nine sacks, all of which in the past six games. Fountain praises defensive line coach Nelson Barnes, and defensive coordinator Tim Beckman for his success thus far in his senior season. Marque terrorized Nebraska on the road two weeks ago, totaling three sacks and a forced fumble against the Huskers. If this kind of success continues for the 260 pounder from Missouri City, Texas, Fountain could find himself bringing home the best defensive lineman award by seasons end. Nebraska Knocks Off Previously Undefeated #11 Texas A&M It looked as if the Aggies might stay undefeated until their game with Texas this year, but those plans were ended this week by the Cornhuskers. Nebraska, who had hit a rough streak a few weeks ago, has now won their previous two against Oklahoma State and now the Aggies. The upset puts them back into the Top 25. The game was tied up for the most part, but Texas A&M let it slip away during the fourth quarter allowing fifteen unanswered points. The game-winner came with just thirty-four seconds left, when Sam Keller hit Maurice Purify on a four yard touchdown pass. The Aggies lost despite 100+ receiving yards from both runningbacks Jovorskie Lane, and Mike Goodson. Goodson also rushed for 99 yards.
