Sagarin ratings have Maine as the best of those three. Fail. Are we talking about the same 5 loss Maine? I didn't know the Sagarin ratings were the be all, end all of sports as your making it out to be... |

Eastern Michigan has won 3 games this year in a terrible conference, one against a winless FCS team. Thats not a below average FBS team. They are one of the worst. Florida Atlantic had a .500 record in the Sunbelt. An average FBS team is someone like Vanderbilt or NC State who went .500 in a real conference. Florida Atlantic is below average using a generous rating scale. Maine made the playoffs so they are definitely better than an average FCS team. |

Why are we still debating this?
Florida Atlantic and Eastern Michigan are much better than Maine... EMU and FAU put up those numbers against FBS competition... Maine got knocked out in the first round of the FCS playoffs by 25 points, and also lost to Richmond by 27.
Maine had 4 losses, why were they even in the playoffs in the first place?

EMU maybe, FAU no. 6-6 is average, the FBS is bigger than the 6 major conferences, FAU is average in my opinion and can beat Maine if they were to play each other. |

How can you say FAU and EMU are "much better" than Maine??? Your argument doesnt make sense...
read dkgojackets response above, and there are quite a bit of FCS teams that would handle FBS competition

They are an average non-BCS team sure, but not overall. I also doubt that any of us have seen a single play of Maine or FAU football so making predictions doesn't hold much water. Point still is that all three are cupcakes, but you're wrong if you think that playing Maine is a worse game just because of some "FCS" label. |

I was interested in going to the Outback again but I was listenin to ESPN Tampa Radio and they said the game will likely feature Iowa vs South Carolina. Screw that, guess I'll try the Champs Sports Bowl.

Wisconsin should have bee beaten by Cal Poly, but dont know too much about Florida State
I'm looking forward to the Outback Bowl, its a chance to see how much we really have improved by as a team

Or Champs Sports bowl. I thought Ohio State was looking a a Capital one bowl team. Either way, I'd love to see an FSU-Wisky game. I went to the last outback bowl and had a great time socializing with the Wisconsin fans. They're cool people. |
