Oracular Spectacular was pretty good, but I really can't say it was the best album of the year.
I'll throw in a second or third for Bon Iver though.

Why does everyone hate Nickelback so much? Seems like everyone I talk to does. Two reasons. 1) They are abysmal. 2) They are popular. Mix the two and you're going to generate some hate. |

I mean, it's hard to explain how music sucks. It's part that they sound the same on almost every song and it's part that their particular genre is shitty imo. They're just not for me...at all and I question the taste of anyone who finds them good.

Bama, have you checked out Mutyumu - Ilya yet? It is Japanese post-rock meets opera meets skramz meets electronics. So ridiculous, but they pull it off.
You'd probably like Nouns too, a really layered rock, it sounds like a classic rock band playing in someone's asshole.

They represent a lot of what is wrong with music as well. If you think Nickelback is great, you are not listening to the right music. There are only so few bands you can put down like that, but Nickelback is definitely one of them.

They're so shit-tastic that they rank higher in my hate list over nickelback.. which is a close second. Oh yeah also need to nominate "4:13 Dream" The Cure They still f**king rock. |

At the very least not enough to say you have any taste in music, be it good or bad. Go out there...explore the world of new music. Go youtube some of these bands and listen...it'll open up a world of good music to you. |

Nickelback is a joke of a band But did I say they were the best band in the world? No. And who are you to determine who has the best music? Because I don't like your music, I have no taste?
