Damn, more important football games on tap today. Looks like Dallas is done but hey, if we had to lose at least we lost to a team that has a great shot to knock the Patriots out of the playoffs And Carolina will ball over the G-Men. DeAngleo and J-Stew ftw!

Westbrook's the only way to have success on us all season and you can't tell me after two dismal weeks, the Giants are gonna turn the jets back on now.

The G-Men have played like crap recently and things will not be better against the Panthers. Since the whole Plax incident, I cant view the team the same way I did at the start of the season. They have one of the best run defenses but if Delhomme is on tonight, the passing attack can open up the chances for J-Stew and DeAngelo to run successfully.

What a game that was! Both teams' offenses are scary but Ward picked a great night to have the best game of his career and the G-Men have HFA!

maybe someone will finally realize that their defense is terrible, delhomme is average at best, and fox hands away games with his conservative approach and actually do something about it.
lucas and gamble are seriously the worst pair of corners ive seen in the nfl and no one in the secondary can make a tackle. I wouldnt have given gamble a six year extension if he played for free.

um, you do realize that they straight gave away homefield in the playoffs and cant win shit on the road
theyve had the same problems all year except having the best rb and wr in the game as well as a good oline helped mask delhomme, but you cant rely on him and fox is afraid to use him. Afraid to pass from close to their goalline so they just give possession away with three runs to nowhere and a punt. Afraid to pass towards the end to get a more reasonable field goal and instead just set up kasay for a 50 yarder. You cant win when even the coach has no faith in the qb.
i dont see how anyone can argue that lucas and gamble are acceptable corners

And exactly how can you not rely on Delhomme? Man is no Peyton Manning, but when your team is down he's one of the best in the business at leading a comeback, he's been that way since he took over a few years ago, when he led a comeback that game.

The guy has the best wr in the league, a big target across from him thats usually dependable, a very solid o-line, and a top running game to keep the defenses attention yet his numbers are still well below average. If carolina has just an average qb like schaub then they are the best team in the nfl no matter how weak most of the defense is.

Well obviously your unwavering in your opinion, so I'll stick to mine as well. (And I guess we'll just conveniently forget that the majority of the Giants rushing yards came right up the middle, where our 345 pound DT was out with an injury)

but they kept jacobs in check. Their yards came when 7 yard runs became 40 yard runs after godfrey or one of the other DBs missed a tackle to let him run free.

I wouldn't say 80+ yards and 3 TDs including the game-winner is keeping him in check... Carolina has a great shot this season, I don't understand why your so upset? Delhomme isn't the best quarterback I agree, but you don't need one when you have that kind of one-two punch with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Also, can you blame Fox for a conservative approach inside his own five against the Giants on the road? You might not have heard but the Giants already have gotten three safeties this year, a sack on Delhomme in the endzone and you would of lost all momentum and that game. Carolina played this game the way they should, and lost in overtime after a missed field goal at the end which I believe in damn near any other stadium would of went through; that cross wind completely took it. It's a big blow, and HFA was extremely important with you guys 8-0 at home, but it's not the end of the world. You had them beat in the Meadowlands, and you'll play there again cause I think its CAR-NYG in the championship game. It's hard to beat any playoff team twice, just ask New England (Superbowl).

DOUBLE POST, but I wanted to add about the Ravens.
Great game Sat night and I can't believe we've came this far. I honestly believe we have a shot this year with a rookie quarterback; which is pretty much insane. But this year I think anybody in the AFC is a threat to make the superbowl other than Miami if they make it.
I like the idea that we lost three close games to Tennessee and Pittsburgh, all that we had control of but lost late. I know that sounds crazy, but I think if we get to one of those teams we could beat them, even on the road. Our defense and running game can keep us close with any of these playoff teams right now.
I honestly would be more worried about playing Indianapolis and New England right now. The Colts have had our number for years, and they are probably the hottest team in the NFL right now, while nobody wants to play the Pats on the road which we would have to if they win the division.
All in all I'm rooting for a win over JAX to get a playoff spot, and a Miami win to take NE out of it. Obviously would much rather play at Miami again than in NE. Although if the Jets somehow got in I think we could beat them on the road also.

It's hard to beat any playoff team twice, just ask New England (Superbowl). jacobs was a full yard under his season average and his TDs were all 2 yards or less, he was not much of a factor. They could have chosen who to score with once they got that close. carolina had no momentum at all when they got the ball at the one, the defense didnt show any signs that they could force a 3 and out so you have to at least try to get a first down instead of giving it right back to them. The way to defend a one score lead is to make it a two score lead. Something fox will never understand. Same thing with the FG at the end, at least try to give kasay a kick under 50. and if "its hard to beat any playoff team twice" carolina is done because they have to play at arizona in the first round (already beat them), theyll get the giants in the second round.

Well, all of Jacobs touchdown runs are that close normally, he's a big back. Doesn't mean he didn't earn it and your defense held him in check was what I meant, not that he ran through your defense all game. Did the Giants hold DeAngelo Williams in check? I think you would disagree. Also, how did you not have momentum at that point? You scored that touchdown, then forced a punt that put you guys into bad field position. You were also in the lead... are you saying that you had a better chance to drive 99 yards than to run it out of your own endzone and punt the ball than prevent them from scoring eight points?
Also, Arizona as well all know shouldn't even be in the playoffs. So obviously scratch that logic, but how would you play them? They won't even win in the wildcard, so unless you lose to NO than you shouldn't even be in that round. They are 8-7 in the weakest division in the NFL and have gotten smashed the past two weeks.

100+ yards and 4 TDs (13, 5, 1, 30) is a much better game than 80 and 3 TDs from two or one yards. Jacobs did nothing except have a couple short runs at the goalline which anyone couldve gotten.
The chance of carolina winning at new orleans when no nfc south team has won a divisional game on the road and brees is trying to break marinos record is close to zero unless the saints are a lot worse than I think, but I think they are about average. Carolina hasnt done anything on the road this season and will not win that game unless smith takes it upon himself to punch lucas out for good, and the same goes for the arizona game. Theyve had nothing to play for the past two weeks.

David is one of those guys that if the Panthers won the Super Bowl, he'd be complaining about how John Fox's conservative play-calling made the score closer than it really was.

actually its known as being realistic and not seeing your team as the greatest thing ever what do you think the chances are of them winning at new orleans? Your realistic to a point, then you become pessimistic. I think our chances are pretty damn good if we can pound JStew and DWill and keep Brees on the sidelines. Get Smith and Moose involved and Jarrett stepped up on 3rd down a couple of times last night. If we don't get pressure on Brees it'll be a long night though
