I really hope LSU destroys Notre Dame. It makes me sick to see the treatment they get. If ND wins 10 games they automatically get a BCS bid. Auburn and ND had the same record but ND gets the bid despite the fact Auburn has a higher BCS ranking and is the only team in the nation to beat 2 teams playing in BCS games. Maybe its biased or whatever but it still doesn't seem right.

I dont see what everyone says about Notre Dame being treated better than everyone. It seems like everybody hates the Irish, because everyone loves them. that doesn't make sense. They are the most hated team for no reason. They opened the year #2, because the experts thought they had a chance, not because they are Notre Dame. More people hate Notre Dame than any team in America. The media hypes them up, and if they dont exceed rediculous expectations that should have never been set, they are failures. I wouldn't call that a good way to be treated. Your call.
LSU is #4 and Notre Dame is #11. If Notre Dame wins, despite the dirty play by LSU the entire game, I dont want to hear anything from anybody. Your right, it makes me sick to see they treatment they get. Just because they are Notre Dame, a successful team with tremendous history, everybody cant stand them. lol.
They have a great Quarterback with some good receivers and a good runningback. They have no offensive line, no linebackers core and the worst corners I have ever seen. They are in the rebuilding phase, but everyone either thinks they are underachievers or to hyped. Regardless, they have won 10 games and playing a team who have 5-7 first round talents.
We all know who im voting for... praying for

Hot Boudin! Cold couscous! C'mon LSU and Poosh, Poosh, Poosh!
Go SEC!
Oh and N2S, ND gets the media love like USC, Michigan, and Ohio State do. It's just part of the package of being a big time program with a great history. They're like the Yankees, and I hate the Yankees. I hate ND. Can't explain it, but I can't root for them.

I dont think they dont get the media... That kills them. Alabama would to if they didn't suck wind haha. Penn State also. The major schools get it by default, but I think that's worse than playing the "Underdog" role like everyteam likes to pretend they do.
I'm watching the game looking at Quinn in the NFL, looking where we can improve, and questioning playcalling. LSU fans and people who hate ND across the nation are praying LSU wins and/or celebrating. I dont blame them haha.
I just pray Florida doesnt take over for the next 5 years with that Recruting class they have and will be getting.... They will be the next hated team to join the club soon.

I hate ND because for some reason it's a requirement for any and every Irishman to like ND.

Oh I know it's from the history. Can't blame ND for having it, but it makes teams play the underdog. You don't get that from the Michigans and USCs of the world. I think Quinn's played well against what is a pretty sick defense. His stats sure aren't mind blowing but I've come away impressed with the way he's kept the ND in control and moving the ball. I can't pinpoint it, but I'm coming away a Quinn fan (well I was to begin with, just don't care for his school).
Don't worry about Florida taking over either. They're going to be good, but they aren't going to make a USC type run. The spread option hasn't exactly taken the SEC by storm. Just based on how things are going, I can't see Texas, ND, LSU, USC, or Florida going anywhere. Each have pretty good coaches, and have great talent flowing in. I think we are moving to a point now though, USC isn't going to be the top show in town every year, which is good to see kind of developing.
That's probably one of my more unorganized posts, just take out what you like.

If they keep racking in #1 class after #1 class. I dont know how they cant continue to be the best show in town. They were suppose to be "down" this year and still made the Rose Bowl.

They did in a year where about everyone was suppose to be rebuilding. Ohio State lost 9 starters on defense, USC lost their entire offense (well you know what I mean). No team was all that good this year, and let's be honest, the Pac 10 kind of sucked this year. They had good teams, but no elite teams. So yeah.
USC will be great next year. Florida will be great, ND will be down, LSU will be as talented as USC next year, OSU will be good, UM will be loaded. Lots of talent just floating around, 2007 will be a great college football season.

If anything, the media is against Penn State. We've had six undefeated seasons, and have only been crowned champions twice. Where's the love there?

But if everybody hates Notre Dame for that reason.... Who likes them? That's what I mean. Everybody hates them because everybody likes them, but thats not true. Everybody hates them haha. I dont know anybody that likes them in fact. However, I know about 50 people who hate them for that reason.
I just wish the media didn't jump on Notre Dame every year because we were about as talented as Boise State, maybe less, but we were expected to be Champions. I dont see that. If you relate the Irish(talent wise) with the NFL, they'd be the Green Bay Packers.
Hopefuly next year, after Quinn leaves, people will leave the Irish alone and allow them to build. They will have a better team next year than this year. They wont win 10 games, because they wont have Brady Quinn, but you can only get better when you have no offensive line, linebackers or defensive backs.
LSU on the other hand... I felt had a Championship team. If they didn't loose 1 of those games, I think they play Ohio State. I wouldnt be suprised if they are better than Florida.

Also, they got second ranked in preseason for the mess they call a defense. wussup?

LSU handed ND their arses big-time. And was it just me or did ND's wideouts do a lot of whining to the officals? Smadjraithateaiia espescially.

There is no doubt LSU was MNC good this year. I saw every game they played sans the ULL and Tulane games. The Kentucky game really showed how good they were. UK went 8-5 this year, and got beat 49-0 at the hands of LSU. The Auburn loss was a fluke, mainly due to too conservative playcalls and of course some questionable calls by the refs. UF just caught LSU on the right day, where they could have nothing go right.
LSU is going to be very good next year, no matter if JR comes back or not.
Correct me if I'm wrong N2S, but isn't Notre Dame losing quite a few seniors? I figure next year will be a rebuilding year for them, if for no reason than getting Jimmy Clausen use to the college game. One other thing I saw was that ND's o-line was very good last night. I know Quinn was under heat quite a bit, but they handled the blitz quite well to be honest and got a great push on running plays. How many of those guys are coming back?

If they keep racking in #1 class after #1 class. I dont know how they cant continue to be the best show in town. They were suppose to be "down" this year and still made the Rose Bowl. I have to say this, it's not about racking in the top recruiting classes. Let me use the 2002 Ohio State class for example. This is a class that included Bobby Carpenter, A.J. Hawk, Troy Smith, Justin Zwick, Quinn Pitcock. This class also had the nation's top linebacker, in Mike D'Andrea. Hawk and Carpenter were both 3 star prospects that dominated for three-to-four years. Same type of thing with Justin and Troy. Justin had all of the hype, but he couldn't get it done. I am going off-topic here, but I never was much of a Justin Zwick fan. After seeing Krenzel's scrambling ability bail us out in the NC in 2002, I wanted to see Troy in there.' What I am really trying to say here is that Top Ranked recruiting classes with blue chippers don't always win national championships.

Smadjraithateaiia espescially. yea they did.. after every play it seemed as if they were crying to the officials or talking crap to LSU. Samardjia talked to the LSU DB's alot. He acted like he was too good for them then they got spanked.

You cant lie and say LSU didn't hold the receivers several times. I cant count how many facemasks, holdings, and unsportsmanlikes they had in that game. I hate watching players complain, but I would do the same if I am getting tackled while running my route(Rhemma McKnight in the 2nd quarter twice)
I mean... to be flat out tackled at midfield while running a route.... LSU, though they didn't need to to win, played dirty for half the game.

LSU physically dominated Notre Dame all game long. And how can you say LSU's db's were talking wide outs? Did you not see the ND wide out take down the LSU db when he had an easy shot at a pick, and they called pass interference on him?
Grow up.
