I've seen Russel about 10 times this year. His problem is that he can get rattled and tries to do way too much with the football. The Florida game was a prime example of that, because I think he threw something like 3 ints. He was trying to bring his team back by doing too much, and got burned. He's physically amazing, but my questions come from how he'll handle the more complicated NFL offenses and defenses.

I'm just happy somebody agrees with me that Russel is not the #1 Quarterback. Being the only Irish fan around here, it's hard to say anything lol.

I think Quinn should be drafted before Russel, because a 1st pick quarterback should be ready to start basically from the start. Quinn would be an upgrade in Oakland. I have said all along, if you allow JaMarcus to sit for a year or two, he'll end up being one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

I agree with that... I never said I wasnt extremely impressed with Russel. I just think Quinn is the #1 QB. If he wasn't in Notre Dame, nobody would have a problem with that lol.
As much as I want him in Oakland, that offensive line will let the defense eat him up and he'll never progress. I kinda hope Oakland gets a great player and someone else gets Quinn. Maybe Detroit with Mike Martz and those Receivers. Thats best case scenario.

I know he has a cannon. I can't argue that. But if you're just looking at him for just that single bowl game, you have to remember how porous ND's pass defense is... I like Russell, but I still like Brady Quinn more. Could change though. I've seen him more than anybody on this board and trust me he can make every throw imaginable.
