Boone and Barton are getting their asses schooled right now. They need to man up and play the damn game.
We've got to take away the short and intermediate routes and force Florida to go deep. The longer the pass routes, the longer it takes to develop. We're starting to generate decent pressure on them, so if we can keep Chris Leak waiting in the pocket with the football, good things will happy for our defense.
Now, for our offense. When Florida blitzes, they are giving up the short inside slants to the middle of the field. We need to hammer away and get them to play back, and then start running Pittman and Wells up the gut. Roll Troy away from the pocket, I mean, put a tight end on the side you are rolling him to, and have the tight end chip the defensive end. The tight end would then go out for a short flat route. This way, if Troy is pressured, he has a short safety valve.
This is reminding me of the beginning of The Replacements, when you have that quarterback that was great all the time at Ohio State, then sucked in his final bowl game.

Its Great To Be A Florida Gator.... for now. By far the best use of our talent ive seen all year. We'll see if we can keep OSU on their backs and a little shook up here in the 2nd half.

Dont worry about it Sportsbuck, there is still a ton of time left in this game. You have been a respectable fan the whole time, and I wont sit here and not give you a chance since you were about the only Buckeye fan who gave UF a chance.
I think Florida is representing the SEC very well right now. Lets just put this away and bring home a National Championship baby!! I will talk to you guys at the end of the game.

I don't know who will win this game, because it's a long ways from over, but I think the Buckeyes will make this a game.

I'll use this thread to point out that Usma's new name, and avatar, are awesome.
Also, Florida deserves to win this game. Say hello to 2-3 years of mediocrity for my Buckeyes. And I know what DB will say. "Good."

Look on the bright side, have you lost to your hated rival five years in a row? Nope, so it could be worse. I'm surprised at the Ohio State defense too, Florida has really been able to nickel and dime them down the field. If there is one thing I know about Leak, it is if you pressure him, he'll do something stupid. It's just what he has done most of his career. If I'm OSU, I'm bringing some huge pressure at UF for the rest of the night, and trying to screen and draw some of the pressure off of Troy Smith. |
