Well Sportsbuck, of course I don't think Michigan is MNC material next year. I think by Pryor's senior year, even more so if he is actually at Michigan (I still think OSU is the leader, but I won't be shocked if he goes to UM), Michigan will be one of the top five teams in America. RR is a good coach and will have a hell of a team by that point.

You think he'll stay four years? I think regardless of where he goes he's gone by the end of junior year.

Is buckeyeplanet a message board? Good sources. Just like the WVU board that said RR was staying.
Not saying your wrong or trying to start a fight here Sportsbuck, because u know more than I do about buckeyeplanet. But I wouldn't sit there and see what happens on the message boards.

Yes, it is a message board. But the guys that run it have sources deep within Ohio State's athletic department, not to mention at Rivals and Scout sites, and Chis can vouch for them being excellent sources.
Sidenote: I'd reccomend some of you guys checking out RecruitingPlanet, if you want a lot of information.

Just question for you Michigan guys.
RR is playing a very dangerous game right now and could well end up losing Mallett to transfer, and not swaying Pryor. If that happens, who plays QB for ya'll next year?

Ohio State landed one of the top players in the 2009 class in DL John Simon.

We don't care about '09, do we?

Per his cousin, Terrelle Pryor will be announcing at the AA game. If he does, all signs point to him choosing Ohio State.
I've settled down a lot, and Pryor's choice doesn't concern me as much as it did when RR was hired and Michigan entered the mix. With seeing the QB's in the 09 class with interest in us, I could take losing Pryor (Although I doubt that happens). With or without Pryor, we've still got a top 5 class in terms of quality (Won't have a top 5 class at any of the sites becuase we won't have that many guys).

We don't care about '09, do we? I do...just not who Ohio State is signing for 08. They only time Bama would ever play the Nuts is in a bowl game or a MNC game (we've got a long way to go before that). So I don't care who Ohio State is signing all that much, unless it's a top 10 type (Pryor) or someone Alabama or Ole Miss is after.

I just listened to an interview Pryor did today with Rivals. This coming a day after an interview with RotoWorld. Here is what I will put about what is said in that interview:
- Add Duke to the list. (Big fan of Cutcliffee, visiting campus, seems like a courtesy to the coach) - Will announce on Signing Day (His words, not mine, wants this to be the "right decision for his career") - Things have cooled with Ohio State as he saw interest from other schools - No problem playing out West, just like he was drafted (i.e. Jamarcs Russell), to play out west - Penn State seems a long shot - Family and basketball important (football is where he sees a better future for himself - "Coach Rich called me about him leavin' Michigan, talking to him, just before I won the state championship, I got why he left for Michigan" - Big fan of Dennis Dixon. "Lot of respect for the way he put his team on his back and won on his own sometimes." Also of Oregon's system and staff...
I say right now: 1a) Ohio State 1b) Michigan 3. Florida 4. Oregon 5. Penn State 6. Duke

Well, right now we're in the dead period and no contact is allowed IIRC.
He's announcing at the AA game, and hasn't taken any official visits besides Ohio State. If he chooses anyone besides OSU, I'll be shocked. But, eh, very good group of 09 QB's interested in us should that happen. For the record, as well, OSU commit DeVier Posey (Possibly Pryor's future All-American target) is his roommate at the AA game.
Maize, the gap between Ohio State and Michigan in the race for his services is a bit larger than you make it seem.
And Bama, what do you think about us landing Brewster? I know that happened a long time ago, but he's a top 10 player, and just wanted to see your thoughts.

I was a bit surprised by it to be honest. Wasn't paying that much attention to recruiting at the time, but figured he'd end up in with Urban in Gator land. Who really follows this shit in April though? He's a great player though, and with the other linemen you've signed, ought to be set for the future.

I figured that since he went to OSU that early. No other reason to do that besides loving the school from birth.

I would laugh my ass off if Pryor went to Duke. I would just want to see the expressions on people's faces if he did choose them, mainly Michigan and Ohio State fans.

That would be pretty funny. He pulls the big switcheroo...
Sportsbuck, where did you hear Cissoko is looking at PSU. He decommited after hearing about the entire staff being let go, but is more re-evaluating his options with basketball season starting. He'll stay, he was contacted by Rodriguez (acording to Rivals and Detroit Free Press) and says he was upset but understands the new direction of the football program....

He stated it in a newspaper interview. He's still taking an official to PSU but I would probably peg him in the maize and blue.

Since you guys don't know, I'll tell you...
Ron English got fired, Cissoko de-committed. That same day RR called him and had a chat, Casteel who might be coming in as the DC called him too and had a chat, Cissoko recommitted. He then said he's going to take his PSU visit ONLY because he promised them he'd come on a visit. He reaffirmed his commitment to Michigan. Now on to Pryor, ( my opinion not facts like Cissoko).
And about Pryor, if he had to decide today, he'd go to OSU. All the Michigan fans are getting happy at the thoughts of getting him, but we still have a long way to go to get him. Even though he's cooling on OSU and warming to Michigan, he still hasn't warmed enough. He doesn't know so much about Michigan as he knows about OSU. He has super connections with OSU recruits and the Michigan recruits are just starting to talk to him. Yeah he has his cousin here and that's closer then recruits, but it's his decision not Toney's.
He wants to go to a school that he's comfortable at and I dunno what he thought about OSU (Sportsbuck fill me in), but for Michigan he set his visit for the 2nd week in January. If Pryor announces at the AA Game, he's probably going to OSU because he hasn't taken a visit yet. If he announces on NSD, then Michigan has a shot. I'm getting giddy at the shot of him, but I won't be that disappointed if we don't get him, considering we had so much ground to make up.
