Sweet Jesus, how much did Michigan pay EA for those ratings?

Wow, just noticed Oklahoma State. No way they are just two OVR points behind Florida and LSU.

They are stacked in the video game and real life.

I could very well see LSU being the "Auburn" of this season. USC also has the guns to play with LSU, which I think would make for a hell of a game. I think LSU will drop one though, one they should not. I'm looking at South Carolina as my upset special. I dunno, if anyone could pull it off it is Spurrier.

LSU should have won the national title the past two years.
Unfortunately that didn't work out.

But I don't see Texas going undefeated, at least not this year. Not because they're not talented, its moreso for the reason that the B12S is a pretty strong division, one of the strongest in CFB. Oklahoma, Okie State, and even Texas A&M should stake a claim in deciding the South winner, although they have a ridiculous schedule. I just wish the North could do the same. I hope one or two more North teams step up and make the conference better as a whole (I'm crossing my fingers for MU and Colorado).

LSU is not going to lose to USC Cocks, that rediculous. They are running the table this year if they can avoid a major injury. There at home with their tough games and are too talented on defense to lose. I'm really looking forward to being in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl and watching the Tigers kick the piss out of USC Trojans. Very Nice!

I'm going out on a limb there big guy. Early in the season, and LSU will be overlooking them a bit. It's either going to be them or Va Tech, though LSU losing a home opener I just don't see. It's gong to take LSU a few games to get that offense clicking right, being that it's the first season y'all have ran it. So, I'm sticking with my upset special to only see it go up in flames later most likely.

Auburn game would be your best bet, and of course Va Tech.
What I'm hoping LSU loses quite a few games this year, so I may be biased.... ;D

A couple things I've noticed from people who have already got the game: First of all they couldn't find anything wrong with supersim and that is superawesome. It gets you through those 45-10 blowouts against Middle Tennessee State that you eventually get tired of. I think it's a great feature and it looks like they haven't butchered it. Also they say that the recruiting is extremely in depth. Not only the prospect search section, but it's rumored you can target more players in-season and your amount of scholarships is increased. This is awesome for the recruiting fanatics because this is the first great leap in recruiting since NCAA 06 with the installment of in-season recruiting. The gameplay looks great on Xbox 360, but I have not heard anything from PS3 other than the fact it is running on 30 fps. Honestly I think this bums a lot of people out, but I could care less. I've played 30 fps games all my PS2 career and have no gripes. In 09 PS3 will probably have 60 fps much like Xbox did in its second year. Overall this looks like a solid game and it tickles me in the right spot with the recruiting features and supersim. I don't know about you guys but I am ready for the game to come out. This will be my first new NCAA game in three years. In regards to gang tackling - I find it funny EA "just" discovered the technology to implement it into the game when NFL 2K5 had it. Just go to youtube and check out the tackling videos, they are amazing. I think the translation of "just finding technology" means getting of their asses. youtube.com/watch?v=M7f8BSb9ghc&mode=related&search=The tackling animation at 1:50 and 4:15 is a perfect example of why 2ksports was far ahead of EA is terms of gameplay. Finally EA is catching up though.

I think the supersim idea's a bit underrated. It's a small, but effective-sounding feature, something that EA's really whiffed on the last few installments.
I think we're talking about a game her that can and will far eclipse NCAA 04, which was pretty solid in its own right.

NCAA 04 was probably the best EA game in terms of gameplay and I think 08 with its new supersim and gang tackling could stack up well.

After a 30 minute conversation I convinced my brother, who plays no sports games at all, to buy NCAA Football 08 for HIS 360 so I can play it. ;D So come August 9th or so whenever they come back from Chicago I'll probably start a forum based Michigan dynasty.

This is awesome for the recruiting fanatics because this is the first great leap in recruiting since NCAA 06 with the installment of in-season recruiting. This clinched it for me. The in-season was a good feature that they added in 2006, but they really needed to expand on that. Just giving you 12 schollies to hand out during the season wasn't enough, although the premise was good. Expanding on the recruit system is what caused me to decide to purchase this game. I think EA needs to do two more things to the recruiting, and I think it will be complete: First, be able to recruit players from the junior class - i.e., if you are recruiting the 2008 seniors, be able to also keep tabs on the 2009 juniors. Secondly, and I think this is already in this year's version, is be able to continue to recruit players that have verbally committed to another school. It's not an ethical practice in real life, but it's legal, and an interesting part of the recruiting game. But all in all, I can't wait.

Yeah, I believe "poaching" is in this year's version.
The one clincher that would just nail the game for me would be facility upgrades. After that, I'd probably be happy with nothing new ever added to that game.

Bearcat another great thing about recruiting is they got rid of the points system and made it into an alloted amount of hours you can spend on the phone. You can have bad interactions and the recruit could hang up on you.
DYNASTY GUYS This could be a clincher for anyone who wants to start a dynasty but doesn't have time to devote 2 hours to playing the game and recroding the stats. You can go back and view all the stats, scoring summary, etc anytime you want within the season. That was a major seller for me and hopefully it'll encourage more dynasties.
