Bearcat another great thing about recruiting is they got rid of the points system and made it into an alloted amount of hours you can spend on the phone. You can have bad interactions and the recruit could hang up on you. DYNASTY GUYS This could be a clincher for anyone who wants to start a dynasty but doesn't have time to devote 2 hours to playing the game and recroding the stats. You can go back and view all the stats, scoring summary, etc anytime you want within the season. That was a major seller for me and hopefully it'll encourage more dynasties. I saw that on the YouTube video. I hate the point system. I mean, in 07 you could send the house on a recruit and have his pitch matched up, and 9/10 times you STILL didn't get the guy. Recruiting is much more than that. And I like the fact you can go back and look up stats. That's a big help. I didn't know that, thanks DJB.

media.putfile.com/recruitvidMy god - these two days can't come soon enough. By the way, the official number is 35 players you can recruit in-season.

For those of you disappointed with the demo, this from the always reliable pastapadre:
The moral of the story, I suppose, is the finished product is better than the demo.

Illinois at 54? That's way too high. And I don't think they'll finish above IU, although I can't be sure how Bill Lynch will do in coaching the team as interim HC.

I read Illinois' Scout board, and they sure talk big for coming off a 2-10 season. Top recruiting classes are nice, but once they win four or five games each the next two years they'll figure out Ron Zook is smoke and mirrors.

I hope Benn does wonders for Illinois, since he is on my fantasy teams. Besides that I don't really mind how many games they win.

But look at the talent Zook had at Florida, yet was never able to manage fewer than five losses. The talent is nice, but without coaching ability, all he's really doing is setting up the guy that follows him for some great seasons.

at Florida 5 losses is a down year.... at Illinois five losses is an improvement

Five losses would be an improvement. But he won't have the same level of talent at Illinois as he did at Florida, so that five losses will probably seven or eight losses. With another season like that, top-flight talent will likely stop buying into whatever it is Zook is telling them, and he won't even be getting that talent anymore.
