I know there's a thread similar to this, but it was more about the NCAA as a whole. This is a thread that you can use to talk about your favorite team more specifically. Most or all of the spring games are over, so I think it's a good time to bring this up. And I'm getting college football fever already to boot. You can post schedules, stats, whatever.
I'll add mine later.

I have no idea bout 2008, but 2007 I can talk about a little bit.
Alabama's offense will be the leader of the team for once, returning 9 starters including JPW at quarterback. Major Applewhite seems to be leaning towards a spread type offense and a lot of one back sets, something that John Parker Wilson ran in HS with a ton of success.
The attacking Saban style of defense is going to get Bama burned some this year. We have two converted DEs at OLB (well one is a converted WR to DE to OLB) but that's going to leave sweeps with speed backs will get outside and do some damage. The DBs will be better though, but that's not going to change the big plays that will be given up.
UGA and LSU will beat Alabama Tennessee and Auburn have better teams, but I think Bama will steal one of them. Arlansas and Florida State are plently good enough to beat Alabama as well. We'll beat Vandy, Miss State, Ole Miss, WCU, UL Monroe, and probably Houston
I'm thinking 8-4 at best and 6-6 at worst.

We are suppose to have a national title caliber team in 2008. Im still a bit skeptical though.

Eh, I'll go with a 10-3 season this year (We have a weak schedule outside of Penn St., Wisconsin, and Michigan), and then in 2008 I think we'll be 12-1, or 11-2.

I think this could be a Big 10 title season for Michigan. They return alot of key parts on offense and if they can piece together a decent defense, I think they can overtake OSU and Wisconsin. Henne and Hart are going to have to really take charge, however..
Prediction: 11-1

We are suppose to have a national title caliber team in 2008. Im still a bit skeptical though. LSU and UGA are probably the class of the SEC this year, but I'm not sure either is MNC good. Florida and Auburn will be good but dealing with a lot of rebuilding. That's really the major players in the SEC this season. That and of course Saban and Alabama and waiting to see how Spurrier continues at USC.

Well usually I would say A&M has a good chance to knock off either Oklahoma or Texas this upcoming year, but every year now seems to be a disapointment under Fran. We keep the heart of our team, qb Mcgee and we have a couple of runningbacks who can open up the non-existant passing game. IF, a big if, McGee can learn to pass the ball and not take 40 sacks a game, then A&M will finish with 8-4 record, 9-3 at best, and at worst 6-6. Here's the schedule... Montana State: W Fresno State: W/L (Will winone to Miami or Fresno and lose the other) Louisiana-Monroe: W @miami: W/L Baylor: W Ok St: close W texas Tech: L @nebraska: L Kansas: W @oklahoma: W/L (Will lose one to TX or OU and win the other.) @missouri: W Texas: W/L That's 8-4! Screw football, I'm ready for basketball to start again.

Eh, it's going to be an improvment to say the least I guess.
Dantonio has really gave the team a whole new outlook and attitude. I think the offense has a chance to be very explosive now, mainly because of a fullback to set more things up for guys like Ringer and Caulcrick.
Defensively, we still have a whole lot of work to do, but Otis Wiley, Kaleb Thornhill, and SirDerian Adams are all experianced and will led the offense.
Very tough schedule could hurt us.
UAB- W
WMU- W
Pitt- W
@nd- W/L (you never know between these two)
@ Wisc- L
NW- W
Indiana- W
@ OSU- L
@ Iowa- W/L
Michigan- L
@ Purdue- W
Penn State- L
At Best- 8-4 Most likely- 6-6 My prediction- 7-5
I think overall we could surprise some people, but we still won't have dramatic results. I think Dantonio takes the ship in the right direction and we steal one either at Iowa or Notre Dame, since you never know with ND.
Overall, should be a solid season. I really like this Dantonio guy. Has a good attitude about this job.

If Mizzou is going to win the Big 12 North and compete for a chance at a BCS bowl, this is the year to do it. It's a great schedule, as we get our tough ones at home, and our lesser games on the road. There's really only one sure loss, and that's not even a 100% proposition.
Best Case:
Illinois (St. Louis) - W @ Ole Miss - W W. Michigan - W Illinois State - W BYE Nebraska - W @ Oklahoma - L Tech - W ISU - W @ Colorado - W A&M - W (Had them as a push originally, but @ home is big adv.) @ KSU - W KU (Arrowhead) - W
We have a pretty powerful offense behind Chase Daniel and Co., and should put up three or four scores against even the best defenses. All we have to be is average or slightly better defensively, and there's no reason to not go 11-1.
Tigers and A&M/Texas in the Big 12 CCG. Can't honestly say who will win at this point. I think Texas would beat us. They lose a lot on defense, but have some pretty good athletes that can defend the spread attack. As for A&M, I would pick them to win on the basis that we would beat them in the regular season, but it's too close to call.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that Georgia Tech will go 9-3 if Taylor Bennett doesnt turn into Reggie Ball. That is the best I can hope for but I know it won't happen. To be honest though, I really don't care what happens at this point. I just want to beat Georgia.

At the very least, make georgia do something to win instead of handing it to them.

I'd have to say UGA probably wins over GT this year. But I think it will be closer than most think.

I don't know what to think about Oklahoma this year, I think we have a good Receviers and good Runningbacks, I'm not sure about Quarterback because I don't know who they are going to put out there. I just hope we do good.

So the question is what two teams will we most likely be seeing in the NC this year? Im thinking USC is gonna make another strong run, and im not to sure about all of Texas, but I think Colt McCoy comes out gunnin this year.
I will get to my Alabama preview later...
