Spartan, can u even justify Hawaii being a team of thugs? And Brennan is a good QB but has been injured this year. Unless you've been to Hawaii, there is no reason why you should trash the place and it's people. Been there. Aloha is a dump. The fans are trash. All they do is yell at you. Not two minutes after I walked in to the MSU vs Hawaii game, they were already throwing things and yelling. Have you seen how much trash is on their field? I wonder why that is. Same could be said for the MSU vs Hawaii game in 2005. Drew Stanton was hit late on about a dozen plays and the Hawaii players were starting shit before the game and taunting our fans. It's been said that there have been times where teams have become sick when visiting Hawaii. It's been on ESPN before. No one wants to go there either unless there are no WAC refs within 1,000 miles. Coaches have said they thought games were called poorly in Hawaii and at critical times. I can see why nobody likes going there. But because they are scared?

Hell, i dont see how Hawaii's atmosphere can be more chaotic than an SEC team's like Florida or LSU.

I do believe that for the MSU v.s UH game that you speak so poorly of in Hawaii those were PAC-10 refs so you can't blame the fact that WAC refs are biased to UH because UH gets screwed more often by WAC refs than a non-wac team does. So complaining about refereing is just childish in the first place.
Spartan stop being such a MSU pansy and ripping on team just because your team blows.
as for JCT yes Hawaii recruits players from the detentions centers but of those players.. ie: Colt Brennan, Davone Bess, Pisa Tinoisamoa (in the NFL) when in thier careers in the NCAA football ranks have them ever been known to start a fight in a game? or be a dirty player? NEVER so saying that tidbit has no meaning because those players actually turn from detention center players to actual good upstanding players. Unlike some players (ie: Austin Scott, Miami (FL) players) turn into criminals.

You're a fraud and it'll be proven soon enough, and your fans are assholes (you're a shining example, believe it or not, you of all people could be wrong!)

Timmy Chang, where is he now anyway? he is the second string QB (was starting til Casey Printers came back from the NFL) for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. Now you know.

Spartan stop being such a MSU pansy and ripping on team just because your team blows. And what happened the last time our teams met? I believe we shut down the "god" quarterback you worship. Woo for your 3 players that aren't thugs. It's not just "pansy Spartan" who is ragging on you. People from all over the WAC say your players are the dirtiest they have seen and your fans are the ones who provoke the most fights. I wasn't complaining about refs for either of the MSU vs Hawaii games, although a lot of my fanbase would beg to differ. I can't remember since it was awhile ago. What I did say was Drew Stanton was speared in the back multiple times for roughing the passer penalties. Believe me, I wasn't complaining about that. I was saying that because your players are dirty. There have been other coaches like Lloyd Carr at Michigan, and Randy Walker at Northwestern that do not like to travel to Hawaii because of the so called "fixed" games. It has been reported multiple times. Not just in the Big Ten. Especially with Chang in 2004. Many believed the last games against NW and MSU were fixed so Hawaii could gain the points they needed to become bowl eligible and coincidently both games were won late by Hawaii. I am not complaining because I can't even remember the game, but it's been discussed. Jeesh. At least JTR is fun to argue with.

Hawaii is a team of motherf---ing thugs. They have gotten in brawls with numerous teams after games, including two different bowl games.

LOL at the strength of schedules. Hawaii 119. Boise 118. There are 119 teams. When you factor in 1-AA teams, Hawaii is even lower. Yes, 1-AA teams have played tougher schedules. They would lose to about 30 teams away from home.

Well, DB just spoke for me. I actually hope you get a BCS bowl now. Just to prove how much of a fraud your team really is. The Big Ten is down this year, but you would not even come close to being undefeated in the Big Ten. You couldn't even handle the Big East. I would like to thank Sportsbuck for proving my point on the whole "thug" deal. See it's not just me, the "MSU pansy". Brennan will not win the Heisman. Tebow is going to win the Heisman, he deserves it more. Tougher conference. Non-gimmick offense. Hawaii still =

If Hawaii makes the Sugar Bowl, they get to play either LSU/Tenn/UGA. I don't think they really want a shot at either. Instead of dealing with a down OU team with their star running back starting his first time after an injury, you get either the hottest team in the SEC in UGA or the most talented team in the country outside of LA in LSU (in New Orleans).
Hawaii doesn't want that BCS game as bad as they think they do.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS ALL RIGGED OBVOBVOBV
This thread is pathetic, half the people who posted in it made themselves look stupid over what... a mediocre football team?
Anyone without bias knows that Hawaii is a team that managed to put W's on their schedule, regardless of whether or not they are a legitimately talented team. That's it.

Anyone without bias knows that Hawaii is a team that managed to put W's on their schedule, regardless of whether or not they are a legitimately talented team. That's it. See, this point was made to me earlier (not in this thread) and this was my response: "It's not about W's in the NCAA. If it was, Kansas would've been #1 as soon as everyone else lost a game and Hawaii would be #2. It's about the quality of your opponents and basically style points for how well you perform in each game." And given Hawaii's cupcake schedule and their close calls with said cupcakes such as San Jose State, that is why there are people calling them overrated. Are they talented? Sure. You have to be to go unbeaten, no matter what anyone says. But are they legitimately a BCS team? I gotta say no. And as Brennan has made very clear, yes I know it's not the team's fault. But the least your team could do is to handily beat jobbers like SJSU. That's all.

The BCS system blows. If you want to have complaints about whether they should be in a BCS bowl, you should take those up with the BCS. They are a team that is playing football games, and winning them, nothing more, nothing less. Their ranking, their perception, their potential bowl situation, has everything to with the media and the BCS, and nothing about them as a team. As a team, their job is to win games. They have done that.
