If they beat Boise and Washington, then this team may not be overrated....people just want to see them in a BCS bowl game and be the Boise State of 2007-08.

When you play the third easiest schedule in all of college football, then you tend to look a little bit better.

Well when you have to scrap to play teams like Charleston Southern to replace pansy teams like MICHIGAN STATE, that back out of games because they don't want to play us. Then you have to schedule Northern Colorado because a team like MICHIGAN won't play them the 1st game of the season at thier own field then you tend to have cupcakes on the schedule.
And as for the playing the WAC teams well thats the conference hand they have been dealt. UH doesn't make enough money in the football side to be able to compete in the PAC-10, so they can play "respectable" teams.
team of thugs? what the hell you talking about spartan? when the hell have I ever bashed your team for being a bunch of scared bitches that won't man up and play a "overrated" team with a "gimmick" offense? what afraid you're going to lose?
this thread is bullshit. Besides this season should prove that even playing weak teams that you can lose (Michigan/App. State, Stanford/USC, etc.) So even making it undeafted especially with long ass road trips on thier backs that they still can win games. And especially the game versus nevada that even without thier record breaking QB they still can win a game. Just because a team doesn't win by 40 points doesn't mean the win is any less worth a damn.
Also Kansas... they haven't played anyone that great either thier schedule is full of not very good teams either but they're getting thier c*cks sucked like they are the second coming of god's team... they haven't played Texas, OU, Missouri (yet), Texas Tech? But oh yeah forgot Central Michigan, Southeastern Louisiana, Florida International and Toledo are all top talent teams.. gimme a break wheres the official kansas "overrated" thread?
F*** You spartan for even making this thread...

You nearly lost to Louisiana Tech. You nearly lost to San Jose State. You nearly lost to Nevada. And they're not exactly world-beaters.

You nearly lost to Louisiana Tech. You nearly lost to San Jose State. You nearly lost to Nevada. And they're not exactly world-beaters. All games on the road... LT is what 3,000 miles away? 4 times zones away? still won the game. San Jose State? QB bum ankle, Bad Weather, Raod Game but yet has the heart to just come back and finish the game with a big win.. No matter how you slice it, if you have more points than the other team you win makes no difference to them if its by 3 or 40... and the nevada game.. lets see road game, cold weather, altitude, star QB out.. and still find a way to win a game especially with the whole season on thier backs? like i said doesn't matter if its by 3 or 40 a win is a win no matter what. You think App State is sad they just won by 3 points? no they don't care just as long as they won.

You scheduled a team where the backup punter stabbed the starting kicker. Yeah, time zones and quarterback troubles aside, I can't be impressed by just about anything you do when that happens. Also, the locals are homicidal towards white man. Read. Don't think anyone would want to put you in a bowl when that sort of stuff happens.

I hope Hawaii gets a big time bowl game so they can be exposed as frauds on a national stage. Timmy Chang, where is he now anyway?
(You basically proved it yourself. You had a "big win" against friggin San Jose State. If San Jose State constitutes a big game on your schedule, then your team hasn't played ANYONE.)

You can rip Hawaii if you want, but Brennan makes a few good points - it's real tough for them to put together a solid schedule. One, teams incur a good amount of travel expenses on games such as this. Two, Hawaii's a good, not great, team capable of beating solid BCS teams on their home field. If I remember right, Alabama went out there and nearly lost. Teams that have national title hopes really want no business playing a team like this. This also applies to Boise State - who in their right mind would schedule a home-and-home with Boise either?
In all fairness, Hawaii can't do anything about their conference schedule and to a degree can't do anything about their non-con schedule. However, coming on here and trying to defend close losses to average teams they should be beating by much, much more is laughable.
FYI Brennan, I agree with you about Kansas.

You can throw me into the "Kansas is overrated" pool as well. I'm a firm believer that they haven't really beaten anyone yet and Mizzou will prove to everyone how overrated Kansas really is.

No one wants to play a team with a bunch of thugs on it. Everyone thinks Hawaii plays dirty. That's why no one wants to schedule them. No one likes going there to play because the fans are absolutely horrible, Aloha Stadium is a dump, and there have been times where coaches have said the games there have been fixed. Michigan State did not back out. That was John L. Smiths deal so don't call us pansies. Your players are thugs. Look at Brennan. Where did you recruit him from? Jail. I remember when Hawaii played MSU at MSU, we kicked your ass. How many times did Stanton get speared in the back for roughing the passer? And, Last I checked, my players weren't responsible for scheduling now are they? Dantonio also didn't have control over this years schedule, Smith did. You were the assholes who wouldn't exchange information like any other team so that's why Smith backed out, he didn't like you. That's poor sportsmanship on Hawaii's part. I can see why Michigan backed out too. You wanna know why Brennan is a record breaking QB? He passes 70 f***** times a game. I could be a record breaking QB too. Like JTR, I would be the first to tell you Kansas sucks nuts too. People have been saying that on this board already. But I'm sick of all the people on ESPN thinking Brennan is awesome when he's really not. Hawaii =

And Brennan is a good QB but has been injured this year. Unless you've been to Hawaii, there is no reason why you should trash the place and it's people. I dont know why you're so bent on telling us Hawaii is having a cakewalk year because of their schedule. If they beat Boise AND Washington, then this team deserves a shot at a BCS bowl. Those two games wont be easy but if Hawaii comes out on top, they deserve a reward.

Bearcat is in for a big surprise Saturday night. I'm not gonna say Kansas WILL win, but I'd really like to see what people would say if they win. I think Bearcat overrates them more than they actually are based on his undying hatred, though.

They are overrated. Borderline top 25 team IMO. That could change with a convincing win over Boise, but I don't see it.

First off, I've never said that Kansas sucks or anything. I just think what they've done this season has been overblown because of their nice little run. ESPN really started pimping them after they hung 76 on Nebraska, which makes no sense at all. Have they figured out yet that Nebraska is God-awful and isn't relevant on the national scene anymore? Even the Huskers' terrible O put 39 on Kansas' "great" defense. About the only thing I feel Kansas has Missouri on is consistency on defense. But if the Tigers' defense can't get up for this kind of game, I don't know what will. They'll be ready.
The pressure is squarely on the Jayhawks, who haven't ever played in as big of a game as this. Advantage Missouri, who have already played in big games this year and in past years, and have learned from it. I think Kansas crumbles under the weight of it all and they fall.

I got your back Spartan.
I don't have it right by me right now but I remember an Old Issue of ESPN the Magazine that had Colt Brennan on the cover. The article talked a little about how Hawaii can't recruit like the teams on the mainland do so they look for the players in legal trouble like Brennan and I think thier star reciever was found playing a game of prison basketball. If needed I might be able to go grab that issue and scan it for you.

Jesus, that story is awful. You would think the Fresno-Hawaii rivalry was on the level of OSU-Michigan or Auburn-Bama from the way the Hawaii fans acted.
