In developing the re-design, it came to my attention that the re-design prototype had issues in Firefox, a pretty popular browser. I'm looking into fixing these issues, but wanted to take a quick poll to see what browsers people are using to access DC. My gut feeling tells me most are using IE, but just wanted to confirm/deny it.

I use "Avant Browser", which uses IE. The only reason I use it is because it has tabbed browsing and I can turn off viewing pics with the click of a button (useful for my piece of crap computer that takes forever to load pages..pages load faster if I turn off viewing pics). It also has a pop up blocker built into it and a Google quick search bar...all good.
I'd use Firefox/Mozilla, but those are freaking huge files to download..haha.

On a side note...
Is there a date on which we can expect getting the new re-design?

Firefox all the way.
Tabbed browsing, much better security, popup blocker built in, and of course you can get the Google Toolbar with it.
You just can't beat Mozilla.

I have AOL, which is basically IE, so yeah. I feel sorry for you then. Oh and in twenty years it will be Google Vs China in terms of economic power. It'll be the Army of Google laying waste to the Chinese mainland and Google will win. So instead of the name Earth, it will be Google Planet by 2040.

You lost me at Google Vs China. Heh, if two people follow that, I'll be highly surprised.

I have AOL, which is basically IE, so yeah. In my 10+ years experience of developing web sites, that statement is far from the truth, trust me. But seriously, thanks for the reply.

OK, not trying to hate on Firefox, but how hard is it to download Google toolbar with the popup blocker? That's what I have in IE, and it works great. I'll give you the tabbed browsing though, that's nice. I've been using Firefox here and there, but the interface still seems a bit klunky to me compared to IE. Or maybe I just get skeptical about people that appear to be anti-MS, so they just choose Firefox by default. I just haven't seen anything in Firefox that blows me away enough to switch from IE. I'm not a MS fanboy, but their technologies are putting a roof over my family's head and food on the table.

Well I can't really be anti-MS because they are the people that are sending my dad the Longhorn beta to test and find security issues with. They also sent him a crapload of software and are flying him up to Seattle later this year to do some stuff with them. Really, Mircosoft is cool with me.
I just have heard from many good sources that firefox doesn't have as many security holes, at least not ones being exploited like IE. The popup blocker is cool, but not having a virus attack and the tabbed browser is cool.
That's the reason I use Firefox more-so than IE.

I'm about 90% Safari, 9% Mozilla, and 1% IE.

Same with me..... not anti-MS at all, just understand it's much safer security wise..... also helps drastically with a lot of spyware on my comp, etc...
